Well this is for desktops, but I am not gonna start an Xbox dashboard topic.

Well first I measured where all objects on the xbox dashboard were, then I went to inkscape and created some vectors for some of the ponies (some are just taken from dA) then I made the background then I went into photoshop and changed some stuff, then Iused some mod tools to create a theme file and add it to my xbox then I applied the theme ^__^ (and no I dont mod my console, hah I just reaaally wanted an mlp background)

Well, this isn't exactly a desktop, but I thought I'd share it anyway. It's my background for chrome. I made it in about five minutes, so don't judge too harshly.

 

EDIT: Made the background slightly more interesting, and removed bucket-fill backgrounds for the speed dials, because they stuck out a tiny bit at the bottom.

You don't need mod tools to add a background to Xbox. all you need to do is put the pic on a USB drive Jpg or Png...one of those file types don't work on Xbox, I forget which one....so have a copy of each, just in case. Plug it intoyour Xbox and go to your  Media panel or Apps page, and find the picture viewer. You can then look at the pics on the USB drive and it'll give you the option of setting it as your background.

Looking back I'll admit it was a bit of an overreaction because I was incredibly annoyed at how that appeared on every site I visit, which always spawned arguments. I've done this once already (two people know what I mean) but I apologize for the previous post I made on this thread which may have offended some of you. It was just a sudden burst of annoyance at the time because of how fed up I was seeing it everywhere. I'll make sure it won't happen again. (Though I don't see a reason for your provocative status updates)

That I can understand. When I was a console gamer, I was fed up with PC gamers "master race"ing everywhere, and nowadays I prefer the PC over a console any day. A shame I won't be able to play some of my PS3 games on my PC though since the only two PS3 games I still play are MGS4 and 3D Dot Game Heroes, which are exclusives But I digress.

 

And if it makes you feel any better about me, I went back to this yesterday as I never intended to use that smashed controller background for more than the weekend, and I don't have any more smashed controller backgrounds planned for the next few months (right now I just have another crazy Twilight background for October and a minimalist Soldier background for November).
