Amy Keating Rogers leaves My Little Pony. Becomes full time writer for Disney.

Well congratulations to her on getting hired by Disney. I'm probably being overly negative but why do I get the feeling this is the beginning of the downfall of the series... 

 

She's a single writer, no need to worry that much about it. The series won't just spontaneously lose quality because one person leaves.

 

 Good for Amy though, Equestria will surely miss her.

We talk about one writer, not the whole team. And while i am sad that she goes, we shouldn't measure the quality of the episodes on Season 6, just because of her.

Would that necessarily be a bad thing? I'm not too into Cartoon Network now, but I've heard lot's of good things about shows like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall, etc. Maybe some new talent might be a positive?

 

 Even if they did do that, not like it'd somehow instantly erase all the episodes being written by current writers.

I am not really all that upset, I think most of the writers for MLP are good. However i am sad to see her go but hey that is how writers go. i am glad that someone might be replacing her, it will add more verity.

I don't see how that's being judgmental, if a writer writes a lot of bad shows I don't see why I shouldn't judge that writer. Listen this is really clogging up the topic so I recommend stopping this or taking it elsewhere.

Man, I'm sad to see her go (even if MMMystery on the Friendship Express is my most hated episode of the show to date... no, I'm not joking, I loathe that episode  :okiedokielokie:).  But still, she did some great work on the show, and even though I'm very happy for her, she will be missed.  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the show since Season 1, Miss Rogers!

I don't actually have a favorite writer but it sounds cool that she gets to work for Disney. Disney is one of if not favorite film studios of all time. Maybe she can even work on the Kingdom Hearts series.

I'm disappointed by this, but I'm happy for her.  She was my favorite writer and I always thought she wrote the best Pinkie episodes.  Oh well, other writers will fill in the gaps.  Best of luck to Amy in her new job.  I have the feeling she won't be coming back because Disney would be stupid to let a writer of her talent get away.

Good for her! (No I am not being sarcastic).  It's great that one of the writers on this wonderful show has gotten a great accomplishment and will be writing for a well known, powerful and influential company as Disney is.  This is a really great milestone in her career and hopefully some of the other writers will also be able to achieve great success like that.

Now I wonder what exactly she will be writing for.  Most likely Disney XD  cartoons I suppose

Hopefully that means she gets to write for shows like Star Vs the Forces of Evil.

I understand finding full time work, but with Disney? I'm not mad at her, but seriously though. Disney, you motherf**kers!! You take Star Wars from Lucas Films along with many other things! But a writer for MLP?! That's below the belt!

 

*Sighs* Sorry, I wanted to get that out of my system. Anyway, I do hope that she gets payed well and does great with Disney, though I do officially hate those a-holes more now.
