I think it will go something like this:

1-Discord take Smooze to the gala to not look like he cared about Fluttershy(who took some female companion with her)

2-However at the Gala he ignore Smooze and try to get Fluttershy attention

3- Smooze get pissed and start to ..well...smooze everything

4- Discord apologize to calm him down

5- Discord learn to not abandon new friends for the sake of old, while Fluttershy learn to not abandon old friends for the sake of new one

6- Smooze dance with Pinkie

I'm pretty excited for the Smooze's return. I remember watching the old movie with my sister and her friend when I was a wee lad.

 

 

I was hoping the smooze would of had a two parter, but whatever. I'm a bit disappointed in the new depiction, but I suppose they didn't want to scare anyone
