The Devil City of Hell Above stands tall and proud in the lands north of Equestria. A symbol that the underworld cannot contain the Devil and that they can and will inhabit places that surface creatures cannot hope to ever inhabit. For the Last 50 years, it has stood at a stand still with with the forces of Equestria, teetering on the edge of War. Hopefully not for much longer. Today is summit is being held in the Crystal Empire with leaders from all three sides of the fighting. Maybe they will have a peaceful solution to this problem.

"One year, two years, ten years, fifty years. This has been a war in the making from the start, I know that much and I've only been around two years. Honestly, this summit will only start to war, not prevent it. Well, I guess I will play along for now." Caras was thinking to himself as he walked through the streets of the Crystal empire, followed closely behind by his two best guards. Looks of fear crossed most faces and anger on the others. He moved towards the Crystal Castle, where the leaders of all three factions are set to meet very soon.

"...why did i come here...... something about a letter that says i'm some sort of guardian..... probably just a prank.... go figure..... well i might as well watch...*SIGH*" he proceeds to look up and thinks (this is pointless. There not going to settle a damn thing here!.....sure the ones that seem to be fighting for good say..... OH YEAH WE WILL DEAL WITH IT PROMISE! i call Pegasus Dung......well i guess if anything goes wrong i can always get a job with these guardians... this letter speaks of....OH Wait They don't bucking exist!) he then snorts.....before going back into a more emotionless state again

Chrysteel was walking around. She knew about the escapades caused by her ex queen. She walks around in her Pegasus form. She currently looks like somepony took a Pegasus and mixed it with the makings of an apple farmer. Her cutiemark is the only notable thing about her. Her cutiemark in an apple tree with hearts for apples.

Naga was not his usual self today. His usual visage of smiling naïveté had been replaced by an eerie gloom. And why would it be any different? His failures prior to this day had been numerous. If only he had succeeded in the past, then this summit might not even had to have been held.

50 years ago, hell above sprang up from almost seemingly nowhere at all. Naga, being what was essentially a scout and an advisor to a being known to very few as the Unbound King, was sent to not only investigate, but to live among the demons in order to assess the threat. Naga, being a Vetala and thus technically considered a demon in some cultures and religions, was the best candidate for doing this. As he never aged due to being an undead, Naga would fit right in with the denizens of Hell Above... Or so he thought.

Naga found many conflicts within himself. For so long, Naga had been searching for other Vetalas. And in the city of Hell Above, there were finally some who had not gone completely feral yet, as a Vetala's soul is much more spiritually sensitive than any normal mortals, and are thus more prone to being corrupted. He had found his people, and yet, something was not right. Where Naga loved the mortals, these other Vetala's only considered them to be nothing more than cattle, food for the slaughter. Where Naga showed kindness, his brethren did not, choosing the negative karma over the positive. This created a rift between him and his newly acquired fellows in Hell Above. And would serve as a nail in the coffin to Naga's split from Hell Above. Unable to turn his kind away from their carnivorous, evil habits, he was greatly saddened, but remained.

For Naga, it came to an absolute boiling point when talks of war spread rampant through the city after so many years. The monk did his best to spread a messege of anti-war and peace among the citizens of Hell Above, but it was to no avail. It seemed that mortals and immortals, light and dark, good and evil, would clash again. Such is the Yin and the Yang of this world. One of balance. A balance that Naga understood, but disliked greatly. Failing to convince both his brothers and sisters to change their ways along with the disaster of his preaching that only earned the ire and ridicule of demons was too much. War was coming, and Naga's love for the mortals would not allow him to stay neutral.

Naga's final failure came when he returned to the Unbound King. He gave his report along with his opinion that the armies of Necrosanctum, the haven of the dead, should deploy on the side of the mortals. While Naga's centuries long service to the King gave much weight to his advising, his lord sternly kept his opinion of staying nuetral in the conflict, as what transpired between the mortals and demons was none of their business anyway, unless attacked directly. However, Naga's lord would not bar him from helping the mortals himself if he so chose, or even the demons if that's what Naga wanted. He could even enlist the aid of ' The Reaver ' or ' Nocturna ' if he wished. However, ' Warlord ', ' Stormbringer ', ' Harbinger ', and ' Seraph ' would not be available as they were the generals of Necrosanctum and would be needed in case of attack. Naga would not risk Nocturna's safety, and The Reaver hated mortality as a whole, and refused to help. It seemed as though Naga the Rakshasa would be the only boon that the kingdom of the dead would grant to the world.

Hanging his head in defeat nearly all the way back to Equestria, Naga would go on to join the divine guardians, as he drew his power from positive karmic forces and renounced the destructive nature of a Vetala, unlike many of his brethren who drew negativity into their soul and only sought to consume the flesh of mortality, and indeed, the entire world. Naga was unsure if every demon in Hell Above felt this way, but one thing was for certain; to honor the family who cared for him over 900 years ago, he would protect mortals until the absolute destruction of his soul, as death didn't exactly stop Vetalas.

But what would mortality and the guardians think of him? He was a defector, and his kind did not exactly have a clean track-record with the world. Would they accept him, even knowing what he truly was, or would he be fighting for a side that did not want him? Alas, it did not matter now. All that mattered was that he loved mortality so dearly so. Almost a millineum of living and traveling in their world. Naga had seen the bad, that much is certain, but Naga had also seen much good done in this world and refused to believe that there is a being out there that is absolutely devoid of any kind of inner light. No matter what, Naga would not break his promise to Teizu's- and his by extension- parents and sister all those centuries ago.

And here he was, coming full circle to the crystal empire. Naga knew it in his gut that peace was the least likely outcome. But even still, if there was a chance, he would more than gladly take it. After all, stranger things had happened in 924 years. Flying to the tower to begin delegation, he awaited his fellow guardians, along with the demon representative(s) and mortal representative(s). He had brought his hookswords just in case. He prayed to the spinner of Samsara that he would not have to use them, especially against his own kind.

Tempest sighed as he stood on top of a roof of a building near the palace. "This is going to be fun, isn't it Xena?" He thought. The bat pony had grown strong over the course of his life and he had no plan of dying soon.

Xena growled in agreement but remained silent.

Dawn walked through the streets of the crystal empire and felt uneasy. She didn't know how the negotiations would progress, and the worst case scenario was war. "I wonder how a Tempest is doing." She thought to herself.

Baz sighed as she slept in the alicorns' mind. She had decided not to interfere unless it was necessary, and something told her that all was not as it seems.

Chrysteel was walking around, admiring the love these Crystal Ponies felt for one another and most outsiders. She saw though that they had fear and anger about them.

She spots a demon and his two guards. Keeping to her guise, she followed them. She tried her best to uphold her infiltration training, even though she was no longer of the hive. The only way to detect her was the ambient love she consumed to maintain her power and keep her at the ready for anything. She follows in silence curious as to why these beings were here.

Many things felt off about the area. Many powerful beings could be felt and all of them converging on the castle. A changeling, a Dark Magic user, a Vetala and, Aura Beasts. Two of them. "Guards. It's appears that we will have an old friend joining this summit. Their are many powerful creatures about today. Less than anticipated but a variety that cannot be ignored. Be ready. We may soon have a situation on our hooves. And also, ignore that Changeling that is following us. Let it belive that we do not know of its existence." Caras's armour appeared over his body in a small display of flame and smoke. An added layer of protection for the beings nearby. He was only a short distance away from the Castle entrance now. It will not be long before his is inside.

Caras stared at the pony now in front of him. No doubt, this was the Dark Magic user he had been sensing. "Dark magic is not a gift that should be hidden. Rejoice, and bask in the all encountering darkness that it brings. A fine tool of manipulation and destruction you have. I trust you will put it to good use. Lest this be the last time I spare you wrath."

Within a fraction of a second Caras had drawn his blade and trusted it through the letter. Bringing it up to his face and reading it, made him let out a long sigh. "This is an invitation from the Divines. So those two faced, hypocritical, pricks are now bringing in ponies from the surface to do their work for them. To be expected. They never want to get their hooves dirty. In the name of all that is unholy and cruel, ignore this invitation. No good will come of it for you. Accepting this means throwing you life away for a pointless cause. You'll find more honest for of work in the city of Hell Above than you will with the Divine. So take my advice and do not go to them. Or I may have to execute you myself." Caras lit his sword ablaze for a short time and the letter disintegrated. He sheathed his weapon and continued to the castle with his guards.

He could tell that Chrysteel was confused but she shrugged and walked past. She can feel the fear of the one, simple connection, but also hope. She kneels down to him and offers a hoof. "Here allow me."

She looks to the demon and says, before he goes inside, "You are the first to see through this form. Let us hope we don't have to confront one another. I know not why we gather but something tells me, if I follow I will learn why I am here."

The pony she is holding a hoof to, can feel hope and love coming as a wave of pure emotions. The hope can dismiss fear. The love can shield the helpless, like a mother would shield her young.

Tempest felt a familiar prescence and grit his teeth. "He's here. This should be a bit more interesting." He said under his breathe as he jumped off the roof and onto the ground. The bat pony had also sensed Dawn's prescence and decided to stick around her. He wanted to spend more time with her Caras put whatever plan he had into action.

Already, Naga could feel the negative and positive karmic forces clashing in the air. Such power from both sides. On one end of the spectrum, what felt like anger and aggression. Probably a demon. So powerful were the emotions that Naga felt from this... Being, that it could swallow the world. Not even The Reaver held this much contempt in his heart.

On the other end of the spectrum, a kind of... Love? Maternal. Protecting. Forgiving. Surely it could not be coming from the demonic presence as well? Prehaps there was a clash... This worried Naga, the seemingly young pegasus monk from Eiquet. He didn't know if they would be able to tell that he wasn't actually a mortal, but hopefully, it would not matter even if they could. There was not too much a difference in many types of undead to the living, and Naga was the closest to being mortal out of all of the unbound. Even still, he would investigate.

Flying down from the tower's delagation chambers with utmost haste, he landed on the street where Caras, Chrysteel, and Simple were traveling. Landing about 50 feet in front of their path, he stood resolute, offering somewhat of a forced smile. It was clear who was giving off the negative karma, and who gave off the positive.

@@Child Of Darkness

Naga glanced over towards the demon delegate... By the Samsara, it was him... By the gods, why did it have to be him? Caras. Naga had known of him during his time in Hell Above and received further exposition from the Unbound King after serving his report to him. Raw magical power and might was his to command. Even the Unbound King questioned his own ability to quell the swathe of violence that is Caras. If the demons had a being THIS powerful with them... What chance did they have?

Naga felt despair wrenching through his veins like a snake's venom. Even still, he tried his best to keep his cool on the outside.

Chrysteel nods and says, "You can't tell. I will show you."

She steps away and without regret or remorse her guise falls away like flames consuming paper. What is left can only be described as a pink changeling with a cutiemark. The aura is now twice as strong as before but calm none the less.

The demon can tell, if her auras could sinc, she would be powerful in her own right. Hope to calm the fearful. A maternal love to protect the young.

Her stance is non-agressive. She looks around not hiding a thing anymore. "I shall take us. I have more then enough power for it. Shall we?" Again she holds out her hoof to him.

Snapping his gaze from Caras and unto Simple, who was suddenly upon him and seemed quite.... unnerved, he did his best to calm the pony in front of him.

" Oi! I'm a Friend, no need to fear. We are all friends here at the delagation. And no, I didn't send you a letter. I'm just a humble monk that just so happens to be on that side..."

He said. He wasn't technically lying, but just being excessively vague. After all, if word got out of what he really was, this pony, and quite a few others, may grow to resent and not trust him.

" Nobody is gettin' hurt here. It's a peace deal. Don't worry, alright? Every raging ocean reduces to calm waters eventually."

Naga said, legitmately smiling.

" oh, and it's Naga. Naga the monk, at yer service. He then bowed to simole.

Naga then turned and bowed to Chrysteel... It was her! She was giving off the postive karma to counter Caras's! He didn't say a word, but a nod and a smile of approval. This one had a good heart.

Dawn noticed a group of ponies in the distance and decided that it would be best to watch from a distance. "This seems interesting." She thought to herself. The alicorn would intervene if needed.

Tempest stood beside Dawn and was slightly interested in the group's antics, but wasn't amused in the slightest. "I have no idea why I'm here. I'm meant for war." He thought, before glancing at Dawn. "Then again, peace does have it's upsides." The bat pony then smiled gently and turned his attention back to the other ponies.

The ever changing world never ceases to surprise me. Ahh... you though you could hide your true nature from us, anyone else would be fooled, but your power, aura and even scent say you are dead. He paid no attention to the changeling, she was not worth his time right now. Their are two more nearby that still have to introduce themselves. Caras looked towards the direction Tempest and Dawn where watching them from. "Everyone one else has introduced themselves. She then turns back to Simple Connection. "Are you ready? I can take us there. Maybe they can teach me more about aura magic."

She looks to be calm and hopefully is able to portray a sanctum of peace in her presnece. She holds out her hoof for him and waits for Simple's response.

Naga simply batted Caras a look and then retorted in a seemingly disappointed tone. " Well now... Spiritually inclined? I should've figured, in all honesty. And ' acting '? Nope! Not an act in the slightest! This is the way I am and the way I shall continue to be. Just because I was born a beast doesn't mean I have to act like one now... Does it? I think that goes for more than just me'self, don't you agree, Mi'lord Caras?"

As he said bowing. Caras may or not not be an enemy in the future, but as one who cherishes all life, Naga would treat even adversaries with the utmost respect. Naga then turned around and began to Trot towards the delegation area of the tower with the group. He hadn't met and properly introduced himself to everyone else just yet. He would make up for the forgone courtesies later. Right now, it was all about establishing peace in a world that was ready for war. As a political delegate, Naga technically represented Necrosanctum along with the Divine Guardians. While Necrosanctum wished to remain neutral, the weight of the threat of an undead retaliation would certainly give the demons something to consider. After all, Necrosanctum relies upon the world's balance to keep stable. And the demons were making it unstable. Too much of their tomfoolery, and the Unbound King would draw his line in the sand... Wouldn't he? Naga certainly hoped that he wasn't on his own if things truly got out of hoof in a war.

It's like a little tradition we have. That's why I love to hate you. And you. Dawn. You posses an aura beast don't you? Is he lying dormant in your mind? Do you dominate him, control him, or share your mind with him? Your face says that you wish to know how I know so much. Correct? The answer is simple. If you live 12000 years, you learn a few things. But now is not the time nor place for idle chit chat. We can catch up later. Right now we have a summit to attend to, so shall we walk? And everyone else around here. You all seem to have power enough to be a threat."
