Today was the first day of school-- everypony is settling into their environment by chatting, talking, and laughing. All of the teachers were preparing their introductions to their students, until that is everypony was interrupted by what seems to sounds like a mare talking through a megaphone, but as students noticed it turns out the voice was coming through the speakers above on the walls, which seemed to vibrate from the intensity of pony's voice.

 

"Welcome to Canterlot High, everypony!" the mare said gleefully. "Oh, hehe, uh.. Let me introduce myself-- I'm Diamondheart-- the Principal of Canterlot High! And we have our Vice Principal, Flame Heart!" Diamondheart's grin was from ear to ear, and smiled regardless of anypony witnessing. "Well uh.. Enjoy your time! Of course if you have any questions, please-- feel free to come up to my office and ask me questions! A-Ow! So there's my pen--" she was cut off, both from anxiety and a pen poking her hoof. She was so anxious and excited to lead a school to even think about that pen..I mean think about it-- being a Principal-- in Canterlot! And Canterlot High being one of the most expensive private schools ever owned!

 

Okay.. well yeah, Canterlot is snobby, so the mare expected everypony else in the school to behave the same way (especially a school which requires being wealthy in the first place to go to there), but she was excited to lead something at her home place, which is Canterlot. She was excited to meet  

 

After that awkward intro, the teachers politely asked if anypony would like to come up and present themselves-- by name, age, likes, dislikes, hobbies, and what (if any,) pets they have.

 

(OOC: This part is where you guys are suppose to do a small introduction about yourselves-- keep it to your character's personality! Also have fun! )

-In the Nurse's office-

Chrysteel was busy getting ready when the P.A. System kicked in. She listened until it was cut off and then she got back to work getting ready. Hopefully the principal didn't need to see her after getting poked with her pen. "the giddiness of those who just started working. Good thing I am ready."

 

-In Aurora's home room class-

Aurora raises a hoof and waits for her homeroom teacher to acknowledge her.

 

When she is acknowledged, She stands and says, "Hello Everypony! My name is Quantum Aurora. I am 17 years old. I like Magiteck in all its form, playing games and learning new ways to use my Magiteck limbs. Please go easy on me. It is my first time going to a private school."

 

Just like a student who just started going to a new school, Aurora is a bit shy and that bit is as practiced as a magic spell.

(OOC: Yes, I did change her age to more fit to the age of high school students. I hope you don't mind.)

Lightning waited for the pony, who called herself Quantum Aurora, to sit down. As soon as she did, he stood up. Without being asked he walked to the front of the room. He flipped his skateboard onto the ground.

'May as well get it over and done with..' He thought.

"I'm Lightning Storm. I'm 18. I like skating and running. And I hate everything else."

He said no more as he picked up his board and went back to where he was standing. Ugh, how he hated people watching him.

Tranq rolled her eyes at the announcement. It was the first day of school, and usually everypony was super excited. She added an extra eye roll for that as well. To her, it was just one more high school to get kicked out of. Unfortunately, this one was going to cost her parents a lot of money, money they didn't have, but with her record no other school would take her. The last time she got kicked from school, it wasn't exactly her fault. The tree was already dying when it caught on fire. Before that it wasn't precisely her fault either. That bucket had been meant for someone very different than the janitor it hit. Admittedly the time before that had absolutely been her fault, but that was something else she didn't like to think about.

 

Introduce myself? Ha! I won't be here long enough for anyone to learn my name anyways. She knew it was her last shot before her family shipped her off to military school, but there wasn't much she could do about that. Her teacher always decided early not to like her. She fidgeted in her chair, hoping to be missed for introductions.

Flame walked into the school, it was his first day at his new job as the Vice Principal, but he was also bringing in his little sister, Fire dancer for her first day at school. He looks around as they trot through the door.

 

Fire Dancer smiles and hums a little tune, she looks around in awe and bounces around Flame's hooves. "Ooh look big brother, this place is so big, you....you'll always look after me, w..won't you?" she asks as she licks his cheek lovingly, and flicking her little ears cutely.

 

Flame chuckles and licks her cheek back "Well, don't be expecting to be treated any differently than your fellow students, it would be unfair for you to get special treatment just because you're my sister, it would also get you teased a lot...or worse" he says as he ruffles her mane, and chuckles even more when she tries to wriggle out of the hug. He then sees Principal Diamondheart, and smiles "Hello miss Diamondheart" he greets her with a warm smile and extending his hoof.

Enjoy my time... yeah, likely story... thought Spellbind. Not only did she find school boring, it was certain she would be bullied because of the deformation of her horn.

 

"Oh, I am NOT going up there," she said to herself, and discreetly headed for the door to hide until after the introductions...

Crap. The one thing I hate the most. Jazz sighed, absentmindedly playing with a lock of her mane and hoping the teacher would just skip over her. Alas, twas not her day, and she begrudgingly stood up while still staring out the window. "Jazz Sonata. Music is my soul, and there's no room for anything else." she stated bluntly, glaring coldly at a filly who giggled a little. She sat straight back down, blessing herself that her voice had not cracked with all the eyes on her and trying to still her heart that was smashing out of her ribcage. The teacher uncomfortably cleared her throat at the silence that followed. Well. This year has gotten off to a fabulous start.

Fire looks over at the other filly hiding over near the door and she frowns, she very much disliked it when other ponies felt down or sad. She nuzzles her brother "Big brother, may I?" she asks him and points a hoof to the other filly.

 

Flame smiles "I do need to speak with Principal Diamond, go on sweetie, I'll be over here if you need me"

 

Fire giggles and hugs him before bouncing over to the other filly, "Heya!" She giggles cutely

It seemed Spellbind was scot-free, but sighed through her nose when a filly came over to her. Next time I need to be more subtle... or faster...

 

"Sure," she said in her monotone voice. "I was just going to... the... um... bathroom. To-" She stopped herself. Those details were unnecessary.

Flame looks around and smiles as he sees Fire already trying to make new friends, "Such a friendly, nice little filly" he says to himself with a soft smile, quite proud of her.

Spellbind was just about to snap at the filly and tell her to leave her alone, but thought it through and decided against it. "You're the first schoolpony I've met that hasn't said anything about this thing..." she said softly, pointing at her deformed horn.

Fire giggles and gently boops her nose "Silly filly, why would ponies make fun of something like that? That's just mean" she then hugs her. "I'll be your friend, I like to make friends, no matter how they may look"

 

Flame's grin widens, he knew Fire was accepting, but accepting a filly with a deformity, that was new, none the less, he was quite proud of her, he knew though, that because of that, Fire would easily be targeted for bullying and being taken advantage of.

Spellbind just felt so happy. This innocent little filly wanted to be her friend and was hugging her. The physical force was not very strong but the emotional force more than made up for it. Spellbind bent down to the filly's level and nuzzled her as tears dripped down her cheek and onto the filly.

Fire continues to hug the other filly and smiles, not minding the tears, as Flame would cuddle her and cry when he was being bullied back home in Cloudsdale.

 

Flame smiles and walks over to the two fillies and looks at them, "hey little sister, going to introduce me to your new friend?" he asks, stroking her mane softly.

 

Fire giggles and smiles at Flame, "Oh um..i don't know her name, but I felt she needed a friend, so um..what is your name?"

Spellbind opened her mouth to make a reply to the question, but was only able to produce some croaking noises because of how her emotions were making her throat. She put her hoof up to signify she needed a moment, then managed to collect herself.

Fire giggles "ooh that's a very pretty name, suits you" she says, still giggling. "Don't you think that it's pretty, big brother?"

 

Flame smiles and strokes her ears, "Indeed it is, and I am very proud of you little sister, for helping another filly, and you know that mother and father would be very proud as well"

 

Fire nods, but showed signs of tears, "I..I miss them big brother, when..when will they visit us?" she asks him, looking up at him hopefully.

 

Flame sighs, "I don't know Fire, you know they are very busy with their work and..." he didn't have the heart to tell her that their nana was dying.

Spellbind's brief happy phase was over, and she went back to her self-hating demeanour. "Why?" she asked. "'Spellbind' is supposed the mean amazing, and the only amazing thing about me is how amazingly pathetic I am. Can barely do any magic, weak, no willpower..."

Flame nods in agreement, "Exactly, and this school will be as non judgmental as possible, if you have any problems, come to me or a teacher, alright?"

"You haven't seen enough of me to make a reasonable judgement," replied Spellbind sadly, determined to keep being self-deprecative, punishing herself as she usually did. "I'm a waste of space and energy on the outside, and the exact same way on the inside..."

Flame was saddened, Spellbind was doing exactly what he used to do back in Cloudsdale, and he made it his personal mission to make her stop, he gently lifts her chin up with a hoof and looks in her eyes "Now little miss Spellbind, I know all too well what it is like to have ponies make fun of you for how you look or how you act, I went through that at regular and flight school alike, and yes, I did exactly the same thing you are doing. I know it is hard, especially if you feel like you haven't got a pony to turn to to help. But look, you have Fire and myself, we'll always be here for you." He smiles at her softly and warmly.

Spellbind decided to give in and listen to the side of her that told her she had a little hope, and ignored the side that told her she was worthless and nopony could ever love her. She felt tears welling up again as she smiled at the siblings. "Thank you both so much... I needed it..."

 

She resisted the urge to add: "Before I went and purposely injured myself again."

Fire giggles and jump around excitedly "yaay! New friend!" she giggles some more then takes Spell's hoof and looks to Fire, "Can we go to the playground please big brother?"

 

Flame grins "Of course you can, but be back in time for class, alright?" he says, as he shows them the way to the playground, and sits to watch them.

Lightning stood there. He was looking around at all of his new classmates. He was judging who was going to be a problem, and who wasn't.

He looked out of the window, he saw a perfectly smooth street, as well as bars and stairs everywhere. He longed to just grab his board and leave. But he knew he couldn't. He wasn't even paying to go here, the government was. They'd supplied him with everything he needed, including a hayPod and earphones. He pulled them out of his torn up bag and put them in. His mane worked quite well to conceal the little blue buds in his ears. He flicked through his music, he liked most genres, but some he liked better than others. These included, Metal, Acoustic, Punk Rock, and Alternative Rock. Metal was probably his favourite. He selected a song: Proving Grounds - Attila and waited for something to catch his eye.

Spellbind followed Fire to the playground, and then looked around at the various equipment the area had to offer. Being the passive pony that she was, what with her limited social skills, she waited for Fire to make a selection and Spellbind would go along with that.

Fire smiles and trots over ot the sand pit, and sits down, picking up a toy princess pony and carriage, she then smiles up at Spell, "would you like to be the princess pony?" she asks with a soft and silly giggle. She holds up the toy and waits for Spell to come over to play.
