Bald and Bankrupt. He's a British youtuber who travels primarily to ex-Soviet countries, interacting with locals (he speaks Russian) and discovering interesting places off the beaten track. His most recent video took place in Syria though, and he has done series of videos in India, Bolivia, Mexico and in parts of Africa too. Can highly recommend if anyone wants a channel to bingewatch.

Oops! I forgot to mention Izzzyzzz. She has a lot of fascinating (though often dark) video essays on random internet events and their history. She's even done a few MLP videos!
