2015 Summer Plans?

Gone Airbourne

Recommended Posts

Since it's nearing the end of May soon I was wondering what you all would be doing over the Summer time? I'll be mainly working and saving money for college classes I'll be taking again in August. I will also be going to Bronycon in August as well which will be the first time I will get to go.

So what plans do you all have over this Summer?

I'll be in my room playing on my laptop or my PSOne or playing my retro consoles on my TV with a blanket over my head :P

Although, in reality, my family may be going to Arizona to visit my grandparents. Haven't received any updates on it yet, but yeah.

The old consoles had the best games in my opinion for sure : )

I'm going to Mexico, and spending more time connecting with people.

Visiting family or what part will you be going to?

I'm stuck taking summer school classes.

Is it for the entire summer or just a small portion of it? I know some of my friends had to do the same but it was only for about a month into their summer break.

@@Attack of the Pwns,

Ah that is very nice and I hope the best of luck to you! Is that a Nissan btw?

Nope, it's a 1995 Toyota Corolla (AE101w/ 1.6L Twin Cam 4AFE). They're pretty infamous as being boring, but that's before I work my magic on them. In reality, they have just as much potential as any Civic of that era.

@@Attack of the Pwns,

That's really awesome that you have a passion for working on cars. I love cars myself but not my knowledge when it comes to parts and repair isn't up to par. But I do love me some cars that is for sure ;)

That's hilarious because I know very little to nothing about working on them myself! I just basically said "screw it, I'm earning $10 an hour and only spending $20 on living expenses per week. Time to do something just for the LOLZ!" The way I see it, it's gonna be a learning experience, and I'll either sink or swim. If I sink, I'll at least know what I don't know how to do so I can account for it next time. If you're ever interested in doing car-related stuff, or just seeing some cool cars, I'd highly recommend finding a Cars & Coffee event held in your area. The one here in KC taught me everything I know about imports, I used to be strictly a muscle car guy.

Oh, and something I know you'll appreciate, I'm gonna get a Pinkie Pie plushie to be my drift buddy when I get the build done. :pinkie:

I'll be laying in my bed, in the dark, with the covers pulled up tight and a blindfold over my face, pretending I'm dead, deep in the cold, cold ground, silently waiting for the world to stop ending, and dreaming of better days.

Learn driving, play Dota 2, and start Tennis again. Also going out with friends every other day. I've been doing my O-Levels which is a course of three years and it has really driven me crazy and I am so glad that this is the last time I'm going to have to go sit in an examination hall in an uncomfortable uniform.

All that, and Ponies. Never forget the ponies.

That model you have is known as the Indus Corolla here in Pakistan. Amazing model that, I rarely see a stock one here even in a country like Pakistan. Always engine swapped or lowered (It is pretty low to start with. Always scraping something)

Second only to the 6th Gen Honda Civic in it's time period.

Yeah, I was mostly talking about here in the States with the whole "infamous for being boring" part, they're actually somewhat popular in other countries. But here in the US they're almost all off the roads, the ones that remain are beaters and old ladies' cars. The import scene here is pretty much Hondas to the walls, but I decided to do something different. They were popular with the "tuner" crowd pre-Fast and Furious, but since then everybody hopped on the VTEC bandwagon and Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc. have been playing catch up ever since.

For the most part I'll be suffering in the heat.

But I want to try to get into college classes of some sort. I'll either be applying for financial aid (which I may be denied because of past mistakes) or trying to pay off some debts I have to the IRS so I can save for classes some time in 2016 or something.

Yep, it's the opposite here in Pakistan. 2 Litre Diesel was very popular but the 1.8 Petrol version was the one that was seen being riced out here in Pakistan. I swear I've seen one with a 2JZ.

The funny thing here in my country is even the boring old ladies will have sweet rims on their cars :P

Travelling to the golden unicorn land to purchase golden pixie dust.

Jokes aside, me and my family are probably going to travel to Indonesia.  :squee:

I'm going to work out more and try to get decently fit like I was a few years ago, it'll take hard work but it must be done! :)

I was thinking of building a model airplane. Not from a kit, not just a a model for display, I want to build something that flies from scratch. Also ponies. And Bronycon.

Oh, and if anyone needs motivation on their projects, there's a whole TV show that was made to motivate you. It's called Phineas and Ferb.
