Is Derpy an Alien?

OK, so I was thinking about the mailmare in this last Saturday's episode, and about how she shouldn't have been so out of her element in Discord's home turf because she works with a bunch of aliens, if she isn't one herself.

 

This then led me to everypony's favorite wall-eyed mailmare with a less than natural muffin obsession, Derpy Hooves. Could it be that our beloved Derpy is some form of extraterrestrial life form?

I think Derpy is just a very extraordinary Pegasi. Wall-eyed but still manages to keep a job as a mailpony because if she were a bad mailpony, she would probably get fired for it.

Y'know, Equestria is definitely not Earth.  It at least exists in a galaxy other then the milky way if not in an entirely different universe.  Technically, from our point of view, all of the ponies are aliens.  I'm pretty sure the definition of an alien is "any life form that doesn't live on Earth."

I was doubting the validity of this theory but then I thought about it...There has been no Derpy in Season 5 thus far. Maybe she went back to her planet?
