Celestia or Luna?

Which Pony do you think is a better character (not necessarily ruler) in the show?

 

I think Luna is the coolest and I think she is cool for a few reasons...

 

She was a villain, and not a king sombra villain, she was an active inconvenience to the group, she tested all the mane 6 and their elements

 

She is 20% (sorry ), actually more like 200% more competent than celestia, celestia gambles way to much with important tasks, like nightmare moon herself, crystal heart, etc. She absoulutely would have beat celestia in the first battle if she didn't have the elements.

 

She is just cool, the dream sequences, her general advice, and her subtle lessons to the CMC

 

I wont talk about why i dislike Celestia because there are quite a few reasons, and i dont want to negatize (is that a word?) this topic.

Princess Luna because she's cool. Especially when she goes into ponies' dreams. I don't dislike Celestia. I just think Luna is cooler.

I would pick Princess Luna because she's a cool and interesting character. Most of the ponies misunderstood her and didn't really know much about her when she came to Ponyville during "Luna Eclipsed". But after getting to actually know her she was just like every other pony. I liked that because it made her seem like a deep character. Even though we know a lot about her, it still feels like there's more to Luna that we may not know yet. I also like how she visit's the CMC in their dreams and helps them. Helping them with their fear and/or problem was cool because she went through a similar way and it was interesting to see how someone can go through a similar situation as someone else.

Princess Celestia is definitely my favorite princess, so it goes without saying that I prefer her over Luna. She has a lovely design, and I just like her overall attitude more than Luna. I also really like her mischievous side; it's an adorable little touch.

 

So yeah, I'm going with Celestia. Sorry Luna!

Celestia definitely. Gorgeous design, wonderful voice, and is overall very kind but can joke around. I can't stand Luna so Celestia is my obvious choice.

I think most bronies would pick Luna because she was the outcast of all the ponies and most bronies generally feel like outcasts. So basically picking Luna because it resembles themselves.

 

Sorry, that was my psychoanalytical side. In all honesty, I go with the herd and pick Luna. She is given a lot more character development in the show then Celestia. Shes undergone so many changes, more then Celestia and it seems like in most of her quests that she will undertake them herself or have someone else do it while teaching them a valuable lesson.

 

I have no problems with Celestia. Its just I don't think its an effective ruling method to make underlings do just about everything for you.

I really love Luna from a character building standpoint. She has a lot of depth in that she isn't that "perfect princess." She's made mistakes. She's learned from them. I love that kind of growth in a character. I love characters who have flaws but work to overcome them. Celestia and Cadance come off as more perfect and having less flaws, and that makes them a little less interesting to me personally. Luna was deeply jealous of her sister—something I think we all can relate to on some level—and made bad choices because of it. But then she recognizes that dark part of herself and fixes it.

 

Basically, she realizes that though she may be the princess of the night, she doesn't have to be dark or evil. She's come to terms with who she is and is stronger for it and I love that about her.

personally i think luna is the best. She's just so kind and likable in a way that is natural unlike celestia who's more the god like figure

But, since this last episode, Celestia has really moved up in the like-able scales. She does have a silly side, it wasnt just a one time thing
