I like this one, even if she only appears for one episode, but now people are making fan art of her doing drugs, really? That's sick and real shameful.

How are you even surprised? She's a stoner character. Ofc they'll make fanart of her doing drugs much like there's probably fanart of most main characters doing drugs or screwing eachother. Its just how things work.

Honestly this is one of the few characters where making fanart of them taking drugs fits the fan idea around her   >.<

Also not shameful either. Just drugs. Far worse things people could have done with fanart xD

You know, usually fanon tends to add some depth to a character but this time it's the complete opposite. 

 

I know right? What happened to Octavia's class, Vinyl's attitude, or Lyra's extranormal obsession?

 

Then again, those were complete vacuums of character that the fandom filled in. Whereas Tree Hugger is a defined character so I guess there isn't much to add depth to and it's very easy to assume stereotypes of.

Though I misunderstood your initial statement, I'm somewhat amused that my statement still works.

 

The fact that the first thing people think about is clopping instead of torture or murder baffles me.

Some consider sexually explicit content more crude/taboo than violence and gore. It doesn't necessarily make sense but it's how it is sometimes.

You don't need to have to be a stoner to talk like that, its just how she is. Now i cringe at the word "Stoner" when you refer to Tree Hugger in that way, she's just in her bliss.

So the OP's outrage is justifiable from my standpoint, the fandom is piling on a (from there POV) negative stereotype to a character that could be a breaker of said stereotype. Imagine if Applejack talked like a hick and couldn't read or if Rarity wasn't a fashion designer but a shopaholic. It's like that.

lol, sorry; i just find that somewhat funny. sorry if i offend. But i had a relative who had a husband like this; but he smoked cigarettes, not drugs; plus he drank a lot.

I fail to see how the inclusion of weed automatically makes something 'bad'.

 

I can understand case by case situations, like a family member doing something stupid/bad or something like that, but the same thing could be said as to why I hate driving because I almost died when I got into an accident. 

 

It's safer than cigarettes or alcohol, if used responsibly.

 

EDIT: Obviously I don't condone stereotypes, but the idea that someone uses weed shouldn't be seen as bad.

I'm gonna guess you've never been around those people before, have you? I've known plenty who don't do shit like that, you don't hear hippie music playing when she appears; so why agree with those who portray her in such a way?
