Another Side of Diamond Tiara?

OK, I have heard of rumors that we might see an another side of Diamond Tiara in Season 5? I mean like Diamond Tiara the way she is...Right? I mean Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are the perfect enemy duo to the Cutie Mark Crusaders after all...She and Silver Spoon are perfectly evil I tell you, PURE EVIL SNOBS indeed. So, NO. We don't need DT and SS to redeem in Season 5, although it could happen in the Sixth and final season or maybe/future seasons?

You know, one of the supposed leaked episode titles is called, Crusaders of the Lost Mark. I wonder if somehow Diamond Tiara ends up losing her cutie mark, giving us a Fallen Princess type of episode where it becomes a humbling experience for her and possibly has her join the CMC. It would likely just be temporary and she'd get her mark back by the end of the episode, but it could provide some character development for her.

I think Crusaders of the Lost Mark should end with DT getting her mark back and then revert back to her evil side...Believe me I could be right.

I think DT's bitchiness doesn't stem from being spoiled. Given that we've only seen her father (and her mother may or may not be the pink nurse seen in "Read It and Weep") it's possible that her mother is dead. With Silver Spoon, I don't know.

Best fillies don't need to change. They can be evil all they want. However, I would love an episode focused on them, regardless.

Yup you're absolutely right x0jackie0x, They will ALWAYS BE EVIL no matter what! Like Dr. Evil or Goldmember (The actual villain in the 3rd Austin Powers movie).

I honestly hope both groups of fillies develop as characters this season. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon have a fair bit of potential as characters if properly developed, while the Cutie Mark Crusaders' deserve their Cutie Marks' after five seasons and countless misadventures. The feud between the Cutie Mark Crusaders' and Team Sugar Lump Rumps got old two or so seasons ago, anyway. Best to dump it now before it starts to fester.

With Diamond, I suspect her parents are divorced. As for Silver Spoon, I think she's probably just trying to be a good friend to Diamond, but is either unaware of the consequences of her actions or in denial.

They'll need to have more to them as characters then just being one-dimensional bully antagonists/plot devices if you want an episode about them - well, one that's any good, that is.

Babs was redeemed and she was far worse than Silver Spoon or Diamond Tiara; namely because of her threats of physical violence and stalking of the Crusaders'.

Oh come on Silvestra Spooner. There is NO way that DT and SS would redeem, I meant it can be complicated or tough for them...Plus I liked them the way they are. End of story.

If Discord, Sunset Shimmer and Trixie Lulamoon can be redeemed, there's no reason two fairly mediocre antagonists can't be. Plus, I like my antagonists to have something called "motivation" thank-you-very-much.

I hate her and Silver Spoon so much that I don't even want to see them. So they're doing a good job as low-level antoganists. Plus, enough redeeming already. It's being overdone.

Not really - their conflict got old back in Season Two. It's time to bury it already. Plus, who's to say they'd ever appear again if they were redeemed? Trixie was redeemed and she's never appeared again.

It would be nice if we saw any other aspect of Diamond Tiara's character. As it is, she's little more than a sociopath.

Honestly, I'm tired of seeing Diamond Tiara and Sliver Spoon bully the Crusaders. Don't get me wrong, they're pretty good devices to keep the Crusaders more motive to earn their Cutie Marks so when they get it, DT and SS won't bully them anymore. (Or not as much if they find their talents and cutie marks to be silly). But it got old so, so fast. Seriously, seeing DT and SS bully the CMC has been done to death by now making the fandom want to destory their sugar lumps by season two. After 5 seasons and season 5 being a big season, the Cutie Mark Crusaders should be close to getting their Cutie Marks right now. Especially how much we're seeing them this season.

She doesn't have to be redeemed though I'd be interested if she did. If you want her to stay as a bully along with Sliver Spoon, the writers could make her more sympathetic. She doesn't have to befriend the Crusaders, but no harm can be done and you don't have to be sad if they at least make them sympathetic. I say that's good enough and close to being redeemed personally.

But seriously, it feels like a bore to me seeing them bully Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo already. We all know how this will turn out: CMC are still blank-flanks, DT makes a remark to them, SS joins in the fun with DT, they laugh it off, CMC get bored and tired of the teasing, CMC go ahead and earn Cutie Marks. The show keeps playing it safe with them and it's becoming repeative and it would be nice to see the CMC earn their marks. And like I said, the show could at least give them both backstory and at least minor character development at the very least.

I can understand why you like them as the way they are and rather have them simply put. And we all know that feeling when you don't want a character you like to change the way they are. But at the very least the writers should give them SOME backstory. Even a small, minor one would do for me personally.

I guess that's just my opinion, but I think it would nice to see at least one episode focusing on Diamond Tiara's and Sliver Spoon's character, whether they become nice or not.

Diamond Tiara and SS don't need to be reformed, but I feel they're heading somewhere in that direction anyway. The truth of the matter is, they both need to be expanded upon, since this side plot with them and the Crusaders ran itself into the ground by season 2, and has been going absolutely nowhere since then. And it just so happens that there's quite literally nowhere to go but up, since anything else they could possibly do as they are would both permanently damage their characters and have to fall into shock value territory to make an interesting episode (for the record, what you're asking for would have to be worse than Flight to the Finish; think about that for a second.)

So yes, these two need a change, and it would more than likely be by giving them redemptive qualities. It doesn't have to be a full reformation (think Trixie post Magic Duel), but something that leaves a big enough gap for the writers to be able to build on their character later. Because what we have isn't working.
