Xenomorphic 362 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 (edited) This could happen honestly especially with the political turmoil in america these days,So what would you do what side would you support? Personally I would fight for my home state of illionis and go with the side that made my family safe The sides would most likely be Loyalists Seperatists Communists and Facists all having there own ideals unwilling to let the other side win I'll be more specific say the Democratic Goverment Falls on to very hard times poverty and such and the states talk about Revolting I do know this is highly u likely and I don't want it to happen its not a whether or not Should question its A What If Edited May 26, 2015 by AppleJackDaniels 1 Slim Shady Follower of The Shady
FlitterFlutter 1,583 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 well considering this will never happen it does not matter, however to answer this question, you need more information. like why are we fighting, in order for me to know what i would do I would need to know what was being fought for. 4 Credit to Kiki
CandyStrike 603 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 (edited) I think we should not have a second civil war. Lots of people died in the first one. It was a total bummer. Do you really think it could happen. How and why? You need to define your hypothetical in greater detail before I can take a side. cuteycindyhoney 13,307 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 I certainly hope there isn't another civil war. It would be brutal, and untold thousands would die. I want no part of that. I love the United States, but if a war like that broke out, I would gather my family and head for Canada as fast as I could. 3 Thank you Sparklefan1234!!! Steel Accord 6,660 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 (edited) @, Dude, we were closer to a Civil War when General Macarthur metaphorically "crossed the Rubicon" social unrest is not a prelude to war. Every decade we've existed there's been riots in the streets for one thing or another. The Civil War also had clear battle lines, the Mason-Dixon Line namely, and was waged with two nations cut right in half along ideology that corresponded with those lines. We don't have that now. There are three opinions for every one person in every state with no clear lines on any issue. To answer your question though, I would stand to end the war and restore the Union, as a conscientious objector and peace advocate though. Brother killed brother once before and I will not live to repeat that mistake. Dash Holiday 15 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 An interesting but far-fetched topic to think about. I highly doubt that their would be a second civil war in the states anytime soon. However, if there was a civil war I would head north.. I mean.. I already live in Canada but that crap would definitely have an impact on us and I want nothing to do with it.
AlbaTross 1,586 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 Sounds like something Americans might do. A civil war over what though? I guess Americans can do what they want as long as us Canadians are not brought into it. Oh, and if some Americans want to move north of the border, we might welcome the boost to our economy. Then again, the housing market in the Lower Mainland British Columbia wouldn't need another influx of buyers and renters. Housing costs are already ridiculously high.

Troubleshoes Clyde 107 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 I would grab my popcorn, and buy all the American products from the local shop before the prices get too high, and sit down and watch the T.V. I live in Ireland so I'm safe unless the American Civil War 2.0 turns into an international nuclear war. 1 Dun dun ddduuuuuuuunnnnnn!
The Awesome One 1,315 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 .Nothing because it will never happen. The US might go through some bad times because you would need a lot of people to stand up for some big cause against the government and even if that does happen, I think the US Army can handle it. At worst, the law and order situation in some of the US's cities might get real bad but that's about it. But if it DID happen then you would find me with popcorn watching CNN and Fox News 24/

Nerdy Luigi 2,065 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 It's not feasible, because there are no battle lines to draw. Sure, there's still conservative whiny scum in politics, but they don't have a reason to want to fight us. They do threaten to kill us sometimes, which in itself, shows us a stereotypical southern, Republican, American. But if it did, I would want to move to France or Canada. A place that's doing well, and a place that me and my husband can be together with few issues. Only thing would be housing costs. DAMMIT STANDARD OF LIVING! The Diver 760 May 26, 2015 Share May 26, 2015 I'd go join the South. Beautiful women, good food, and good people. Plus I'm bored of Seattle. Or just go to Caribbean and live on a boat! "I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. It especially depends if it end up being another north/south one like last time, seeing as we'd be on opposite sides. But I second this. Canada wouldn't have much different of a standard of living than the U.S I would have thought. Somewhere in Europe would definitely though.
