This is the basic premis for this RP, which is set mainly in the Equestria Girls world. An evil monster, a kelpie, has been imprisoned in Tartarus for the past thousand years, but escapes and heads to Canterlot. Her name is Cora and she has the power to control water, turn ponies into statues and also mind control. After a brief struggle with Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle, Cora turns them into statues and escapes thru the portal to the Equestria Girls world. Princess Luna takes charge, but she can't go herself; with her sister turned into a statue, Luna will need to raise the sun and moon. Instead, she chooses a group of ponies to go thru the portal, find Cora and defeat her.

 

So basically, I'd want OCs for the group of ponies, plus canons for the Equestria Girls world. Yes, if you feel up to it, you can play the human versions of Sunset Shimmer, Applejack etc. I will play Cora, when she is found, and also probably one of my OCs. Despite the title, male OCs will be accepted. No alicorns, please. I've tried allowing alicorn OCs in my RPs before, and it just ends up clogged with dozens of alicorns, far too many to be realistic. Try to post regularly and if you sign up, try to stay with the RP.

Can one play a race that hasn't appeared in the original movies. I have a chara but only two problems. He and his team of dancers were originally beings of Equestria. However because of an event they were banished to the EQG world. That is problem one.

 

They survive by dealing in secret with certain unwanted guests. Their group and club name is The Shifters.

 

Quantum Shift is his name.

 

Problem two, being already in the EQG world, most if not all his changeling abilities are lost. The hunger and ability to feed on love is still there. However to gain this love usual high school romance is a must. The kiss at the end of a date usually gives them the love or tells them not the ones.

 

This group has taken their old physically trained abilities and turned it into a dance style.

 

It is posible that some of their changeling magic survived the transition into the EQG world. But that is for you to chose.

They have changed drastically sense their banishment. So I would say good aligned now. They are protective of the students of canterlot high. They have been separated from Queen Chrysalis for so long. Quantum Shift has technically become their King or leader.

They would and would not allow her to hurt the school. They would die first.

 

Think of it like a redemption thing for them. They can't return to Equestria untill a certain princess says so. Her and her husband did banish them, even if by accident.

Race: Equestrian Changeling/EQG Banished

Alignment: Good

Rank: Currently leader if the Shifters Dance Group/Changeling King

Appearance: EQG Version; young, tall, dark skinned, male with long teal green hair. wears black leather cloths with Teal Green insect wings emblazened on back of jacket. Has teal green slited eyes, claims are contact lenses. These eyes change for teal green to rose pink when at full power.

 

Background:(going to be breif and quick with this.)

 

Born just before the canterlot invasion, Quantum Shift, A.K.A. Shifter, was to be a part of the quick strike and elements prevention groups. He did his job well. He and a small number, total 15, were key in the capture of the Elements of Harmony during the invadion. However, when the repelling attack from Cadence and Shinning armor hit him and his team, they were banished to the world of EQG.

 

Due to them being in a world without magic and a world not of ponies their forms were drastically altered, Shifter's more then the others, they lost all but the most basic of their magic and their form became much more human in appearance. They retained thier most basic Shapeshifting power as long as they can gain the love energy needed to fuel it, which this world was chocked full of it. They also retained their love feeding and hunger which they know without the feeding they can't survive. They also retain their ability to grow and evolve but no longer do they need a chrysalis to achieve this evolution. The evolution only alters and makes them stronger over time. The process is also slowed greatly, due to the absence of the chrysalis.

 

With most of their old powers cut off and without a leader they were originally fated to die in this world from starvation.

 

However Shifter stepped up and took on the role of leader. He reunited the changelings in this new world and even built a home near the greatest source of easily gained love, Canterlot high. Because Shifter isn't like Queen Chrysalis, they prospered in growth and became the hidden guardians of Canterlot high.

 

With the ignition of the Elements of Harmony in The world of EQG, they regained another small portion of their equestrian powers. Using this new strength the Shifters aided the Rainbooms in the defeat of the Dazzlings, a trio of Sirens to whom wanted to rule the world. They never let the Rainbooms know they they aided them but with the arrival of this new threat the Shifters no longer could hide from their fate. A small group of Equestrian followed this new threat and Shifter himself decided it was time to make amends for their acts against canterlot and hopefully return to Equestria and be accepted among the ponies they once tried to take over.

 

Abilities:

Basic Shapeshifting: can only assume true Human forms. Must have love energy to maintain.

Heart Sense: Passive ability use to find the food needed to survive and maintain powers.

Love Feeding: used to gain love from those who willingly give it to them. (Most don't know they are Changelings. Those that do keep the secret and are always willing to feed them. These people are the fans of the Shifters.)

Basic Magic: (Can only be used in true forms. Is very limited due to the nature of EQG. Can be increased using love gained from Equestrians.) The most basic of magic.

- Spells known:

-- Camouflage: replaces invisibility spell. Acts as Camillion for purposes of hiding. (Requires areas of darkness or camo type clothing.)

-- Basic Short Range Telekinesis: Allows manipulation of items very close to user. Is more psionic then magic now.

-- Empathy: Changelings are very emotion sensitive beings and thus can always tell the mood somepony is in. Also can be used to tell if somepony is lying to them based on emotional tesponse to questions asked.

-- Telepathy: Limited only to the small group and limited to only a few blocks, about 5 between each one. Allows changelings to communicate with eachother via silent conversation. If you can't read minds then you have no idea they are even talking to eachother.

-- Shifter's Truth: This is Shifter's true evolved power. By using Shifter's Truth, Shifter gain full access to his Equestrian powers for a limited time. Must be near Equestrians to use and makes exhausted after effect ends. Only by meeting certain conditions does this ability loose its limited duration and its exhaustion effects. Once these conditions are meet, he can use true Changeling powers at will. All he would need is the love energy to fuel them.

 

I hope he isn't overpowered. I sevierly limited the powers and made a few better fit into a non magical world. Only when within proximity to Equestrians are his true powers even activateable. He regains his lost wings and He looks more like a true Changeling with a human form when his power is fully unleashed. Only used Shifter's Truth once, to aid the Rainbooms in the defeat of their foes The Dazzlings.

 

Hope this good for you. Only reason they have powers is because of the large amounts of Love Energy they can use to fuel these powers bit they are heavily restricted in their use.

Btw everypony; RP is still open for anypony who wants to play an Equestria Girls canon. so far, we have Sunshine Shimmer playing Sunset Shimmer. Everyone else is an NPC for now, unless claimed.
