The answer to the universe is 42

It's actually the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. It only works in base-13 though.

People lost their lives over if there should be a number, zero, or not. Most opponents to the inclusion of the number asked why you'd need to measure nothing.

The sky's color depends mostly on the angle of the sun to the atmosphere. From the viewer to the horizon, as the angle decreases the sky will be more red. This is due to the index of refraction of the atmosphere's effect of varying wavelengths of light.

Speaking of wavelengths, the grating you see on the door to your microwave is there to prevent the waves from escaping the machine as the holes are too small for the wave to pass through it.

Speaking of microwaves, all it does is vibrate the hydrogens on the side of the oxygen. This vibration is what heats the product.

Free oxygen is toxic in the body if it is unbound as it can form free-radicals and react with proteins. So breathing 100% O2 for long enough can kill you.

...at sea level.

Oxygen toxicity occurs when you breathe pure oxygen at high or regular pressure. However it is not harmful if you breathe it at low pressure, which is what astronauts do. (Low pressure atmosphere is also less stressful on spaceship hulls when protecting from the vacuum of space.)

Astatine (element 207At) has never been observed. It's radioactive half life is so short that it will always heat itself up, turn into a gas and accelerate its own decay into lighter elements before it can be seen, even with high speed cameras.

Some theoretical chemists have predicted it may be shiny and black, but we will probably never know for sure.
