Chapter one: Under the wings

Its a colorful day on Equestria, the sun rises thought your face and the breeze caress your face, the smeel of pure air goes through you and it feels really good. It must be your lucky day: the breezies were migrating and they happened to pass over your house, as you look to them you can see a polen particle falling over your face, you dont have time to react to take it off because after less than a second the paper-filly throws you one, as expected, paper over your face. You decided to open it and read it.

The friendship week: a brief summary of his history

We are just 9 days from the start of the Friendship Week celebration, but did you ever wondered why do we celebrate? This special week has a big story over it, and the Foal Free Press is going to give you the first clues to it. Why now? Because this year there is something special, a big price given the last day in commemoration of 50 years of peace on Equestria.

The last porter of the elements of harmony: Twilight, left this world to reunite with her friends in peace exactly 49 years, 11 months and 9 days ago in a place over her palace, smiling while she started . The other porters were waiting her years ago, they passed away long time ago but she remained because she was an transformed alicorn and for this her life was more extense than the rest of the mares but not what expected because in theory transformed alicorns live longer lifes. Still the other transformed alicorn Princess Cadace had a similar ending, when his loved husband died when disaster attacked a land where him and his troops where exploring, she couldnt take it and got really sick, days later she left the world with a broken hearth in hopes to find again his beloved and recover her hearth wounds. Taking it back to Twilight, the day that her last main friend left the world she started aislaiting deep in her castle, just showing up sometimes for celebrations or commemorations. It was the day she was found lifeless in her bed by one royal guard when the notice came out to light, It touched to everypony because Twilight was one of the most loved princess for all she done to make Equestria the biggest empire known. To never lose the memory of the princess of friendship, 2 months after her dead the princesses Luna and Celestia decided to create in her honor (and the rest of her friends) the week of friendship: a celebrative week consistent of seven parts, each one including every element and a commemoration to it. This is a resume of the Friendship week activities:

Respecting the order they passed away, the first day of the week, the Reward day consist in commemorating Applejack, the element of Honesty, and the celebration its about honest work, the duty of the ponies in happyness showing each other how much they appreciate their friends with true help in everything they need. Once the chores are complete (normally night), people are invited for free to eat applepie and celebrate with apple cyder in public places.

The second day, called the Love day, the ponies who love in a romantic way give each other gifts in a demostration that they love more the one who is reciving the gift that a material thing. But this day is not just a romantic day, family gives gifts between each other because there is nothing more beautiful than family. This day is a commemoration of Rarity, the element of generosity. orf

The third day, loved specially by fillys is the Party day, everythings its laughs, baloons, cake and all that sort of stuff. The celebration is taken different in everypart, for example in Ponyville is a traditional all day-night party, but in Canterot the celebration is taken to the palace where the sofisticated ponies "party" by their ways; the different case is the Las Pegasus, where the partys are with big magical shows and different presentations. This day is a celebration day on the Pinkie Pie, The element of Laughter way

The fourth day is when things get more seriously and that is because is the day that hosts the Competence day, which means every family or clan gathers to compite between other families/clans in order to be the most "awesome" family or clan of the year. The big race is the most important competence of the day but not the only, other competences can give a family or clan points to the end of the day. At night the judges decide a winner in every category (Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth ponies). No other species are allowed to compit, thats why every place but Canterlot (Celestia, Luna and Discord are judges there) celebrates with other species judges. This day is a memorial day to Rainbow Dash, the element of Loyalty.

The fifth day is a more careful day because it is the Day of the nature, this day is all about taking more care and love for the nature which means cleaning anything that the other days may caused and causing that every possible animal have a wonderful day. This day is a commemoration to Fluttershy, the element of Kidness.

The six day is one of the most unactive but gratious days, in this day the ponies may rest of the last days activity, this is the Day of the Pardon, every pony or specie who had a conflict or problem with other one can take this oportunity of a second chance and ask a pony if want to resolve differences. This is a very peaceful day since not much ponies have conflicts this days, but when they have and the conflict its big they can wait until the day of pardon comes to resolve it. This day is a memorial of Sunset Shimmer, the element of Forgiveness.

And the final day, the seventh day is the magical Day of the Magic, this day is an introduction to the final of the celebrations and it consists in learning everyting as possible about the lessons the heros left in the past not just in the Twilight era but in all times of Equestrian History. In this day museums, librarys and study places that wouldnt normally be opened for public are avialble, still not full because unfortunately most of ponies just take this day to finally rest and prepare for the next week. This day, the final day, is a memorial to Twilight Sparkle, the element of Magic.

 

Once the celebrations are over, the ponies all over equestria continue with they normals lives, waiting until next Friendship week arrives. However as we said this year is not the same, to motivate the celebration of the Day of Magic the friendship palace in Ponyville will completly open doors to 5 lucky enough ponies to adquire the VIP* tickets and their guide will be the same itself Princess of the Night Luna. The pass may come in the invitation cards that you can get in the Love day in Princess Celestia palace, so dont worry if you dont win it: You can get other excellent prices!

*For those ponies like me who didnt go to Celestia's school for gifted unicorns the word VIP stands for Very Important Pony .

And with that, ends the first page of the newspaper of today.. You realize that the breezies already left and it happened a few minutes since you started reading the newspaper, so you must decide... You could read more or you could start with the routine, it is up to you!

Flutterwing finishes her paper and gets up. she had a smile on her face. "The Breezie were beautiful this time as well. Let's see if the pollen had been claimed."

 

She heads out to her garden and checks the flowers' pollen count. She first checks her pink roses. "Hmm...Almost time to cut and sell these. Friendship week is always good for business. On the day of generosity I usually give away a few dozen roses."

 

She checks her flowers and makes sure they are growing well. She flutters her wings in happiness and says in Breezie, "This is good. They are growing well. The Breezie have gotten the pollen too. Good for them." ((Don't know the language personally. So i typed it in English.))

 

She heads inside and makes her breakfast.

Meowser rubs his head as he finished the paper ''Never really understood all the hype for the friendship week... Could be because i have not been in canterlot when it happens each year'' he became deep in thought as he continued to look out even though the breezies were gone.

 

He went to a messy room where crystals and other probably magically enchanted or mechanical artifacts of magic existed ''I've got to clean up here... Thats gonna be abit annoying if i may say so to myself'' he sighed as he went out of it and coughed from dust that had accumulated in there.

 

He then heads to the kitchen and asked himself what he wanted which people would call weird but he made himself laugh from a joke... Although it was a tasteless one, all the while thinking about what he could learn from getting that pass.

Flying Ace sat down the paper excitedly no longer noticing that the breezies were gone, "A pass into the palace? Oh that's exciting! Good luck to whoever gets those tickets." Ace quickly ate his breakfast; he was mostly excited about seeing his parents again after awhile. They didn't get to see each other that often since the only time Ace was in Canterlot was for a show but this week meant no work so the week was his for the taking. Even better today he was heading for Ponyville for the celebrations, as thats where he'll be spending it with his parents.

Spellbind was on the train to Ponyville. Rather early I might add. She was going for the festival. Perhaps this would distract her from the life and existence she so despised. And also perhaps she would get something to eat there... she had missed out on some breakfast.
