Banned because if they cared enough, the show wouldn't have numerous continuity errors and the quality of the episodes would be much better than it is now imo.

Banned because sure, although some errors have been embraced (what would the show be without Derpy?)

But lets face facts here, MLP is the poor cousin of the Transformers franchise, in Hasbro's eyes. Flash animation instead of full on drawn animation (which DOES give it a distinctive style) and then compare the budgets for the movie ($6.5 million) vs the bumblebee transformers movie ( $135 million).

And again, maybe that is a good thing. the fandom wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today if Hasbro had been more concerned about extracting every last bit of revenue out of their "property" instead of just putting toy ponies on shelves...

Banned because MLP *is* a low budget show (although one that has had an unusual number of star trek actors as guests) and that has shaped much of it's visual style and it's scripting.

But that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just a thing.
