How come no one gets mad when Twilight has to relearn lessons?

While people are seething on Spike being a "static" character and having to relearn lessons he's been through already, I personally, find it ironic that no one seems to notice that Twilight repeats the lessons she's learned, but also, has taught to others.  The importance of asking for help? Anyone? Does no one remember her teaching it to Apple Jack, back in "Applebuck season"? And then learning to rely on her friends to help her, in "The Crystal Empire",  "magic Duel", "Twilight's Kingdom", AND "Rainbow Rocks"? All these times she's tried to do things on her own, but eventually needed to turn to her friends to help her out. And we see  NONE of this in "Princess Spike"; Twilight's past lessons of asking for help completely dismissed, when she runs herself ragged, staying up for three days straight. And no one blames Twilight for it, apparently; in spite of her being a Princess, who should be more responsible than that by now; in spite of her having Celestia, Luna, and Cadance right there, to ask for help, if she needed it,  which she clearly did; in spite of calling on the rest of the mane 6 to assist, even). But nope, nope, nope, it's Spike who;s in the wrong and gets torn apart, and the one who has to re-learn previous lessons. Certainly not Twilight, because main character, and look, she's a  PRINCESS! That MUST mean she's responsible. Ok, I see how it is. =_=

Character stagnation in Twilight? Should she be more mature than she is, now that she's a flippin Alicorn princess? Should Spike coup de'tat?

I assumed other princesses were already too busy with their own responsibilities for the event to help Twilight and it seems Twilight managed to do things fine on her own; yes she became very exhausted but that didn't seem to negatively affect her responsibilities up to unveiling of crystal pony figure. She's a princess so I expect that certain responsibilities are specifically for her and cannot be fulfilled by her friends; I imagine overworking is normal when you have highest political position. Fault I see is that Spike wasn't instructed what to do in case Twilight would normally be urgently needed during time of rest so he had to do something. But he wasn't instructed to make decisions for Twilight; Cadance disapproved of him doing that.

Completely big differences:

  1. The Crystal Empire's moral was about self-sacrificing for the benefits of others. Here, the Royal Sisters mandated Twilight to pass the quackery test alone. But when Sombra was about to conquer the Empire, she abandoned it. This was a very important decision for her to make, but she made the right one.
  2. Magic Duel wasn't about learning to get help. Instead, it was about teaching Trixie how a very close bond or teamwork is more important than trying to gain for oneself. Twilight was exiled from Ponyville, so she was forced to learn on her own while the others held Trixie at bay.
  3. Twilight's Kingdom was also about a mandate. Equestrian Royalty told her to keep all of her newfound powers a secret so Tirek can't steal them. In other words, they told her not to trust the others and make her fend for herself.
  4. Rainbow Rocks was the only possible retread, and that's loose. Part of it has to do with all the pressure put on her. No one knows magic. She does. Nothing works. The entire band was in complete discord.
  5. Twilight never had to learn a lesson in Princess Spike, for none of it was even her fault. She helped try and build it, but exhaust overcame her. That fault resides on Spike for being stupid and Cadance for neglecting and overlooking Spike's lies.

As the episode went if it wasn't "Princess" Twilight's word than nopony took it as a confirmation. Leaders alike all have piles of paper to sign and check over things in different areas the whole time but it has to be by the leader himself otherwise the projects don't go underaway.

Of course the other ponies can say "by Twilight Sparkle's name" but they still have to get the answers from Twilight Sparkle and Twilight can't have the other mane six and Spike making decisions on their own otherwise it's on her head so we're back to square one.

You've got good points, but I'm too tired to respond to them all at the moment.

Overall picture is: Twilight does have lapses in her character, but they're much more minor. Twilight's mess-ups don't affect very much, whereas Spike makes his major mistakes when everyone is counting on him.

Well people in real life do have to relearn lessons sometimes because people get overzealous or get confused on other problems that put them back to doing what they did before.
