How will YOU become fandom famous?

By making nu metal songs about ponies. As far as I'm aware, no one has done that yet. If someone has, by all means, prove me wrong.

Finding some random strange way to wiggle in to "fame".

Just like I did with Smash Bros. People have seen what I did, they just don't recognize me.

Heck, you may hear me in a rather large pony project rather soon, we'll see.

If I were to become fandom famous it would be from my digital artworks as I am most well know for them as of now; currently 306 watchers and 18 126 pageviews on Deviantart which for me is quite sizable but is definitely smaller than many other Brony artists.

I always tried to be famous  :(

First i wanted to become a very good pony artist...but i failed. I mean i have fans, but seeing how other artist makes my images look like a piece of...not so good art, it makes me really sad. And considering i draw for many years and should have more experience in it, im really...depressed sometimes.

The most famous thing i did was the Dorufine Askblog...but i never heard anyone talking about it, so....yeah...

Than i wanted to do animations, but as you can see...that didnt go well...i mean i say for years that i work on something, when in reality, i draw some images, get angry about the fact that everything doesnt look like i want it to...than i get sad, depressed, unmotivated and thats it.

And now, i dont even watch the show anymore and even if i want to rewatch it, i dont have any money...to buy dvds...and i dont really want to watch episodes on the internet, that doesnt feel right to me...

So i guess, my bronyself died out a long time ago.

And it doesnt seem to return any time soon.

So, i will NEVER get any famous...

Easy -- I won't :squee: I don't find fame to be important -- it is not something that I strive for. If I ever were to become "famous," it would be by me just being myself. And I don't find myself to be an exceptionally interesting person, lol. :P

There are 3 things I can think of. Make a pony fursuit, walk around my town, and make convention vlogs. Make reviews, and talk about more controversial things. The other would be to make music, I'm currently taking a guitar elective at my school, and am interseted in learning about how to use turn tables, so I could do different genres of music.

I'll be famous for starting a war that unites bronydom and furrydom, and installing the resulting Brurrydom as the new government and state religion of America.

I'd totally be a member of the Brurrydom.

I hope to at least give something back to the fandom at some point... most likely game related. And most likely ROM hack related, like that one Mega Man pony hack someone made, which I forget the name of. You'd be able to find it quickly using Google. Incorporating MLP into my LP hobby could also be a way to do so, but I'd rather engage in something more creative, like a game.

We'll see, though, I have other projects I've been putting off for far too long. Being busy chews anal region.

Fandom fame isn't really a goal you should strive for, to be honest. You have to look at it from an outside perspective to see what is so odd about it. You are trying to get fame and attention from a group of people whose defining characteristic is following a children's television show vehemently. While I don't mean to insult the more devout bronies, that is a goal that isn't as socially excusable as most.

Why, I'd be the starring voice actor in a new spin-off of course! My fame would spread across the world, as the spin-off slowly stole fans and merchandising from the main show(which totally hasn't happened with Equestria Girls ;)).

But seriously, I'd probably become famous for being "that guy." Everyone loves to hate being "that guy."

I've gotta keep on moving.
I got troubles on my mind.

I honestly don't want to become popular in the fandom, at least partially, I'll try to explain.

There are multiple works of art in multiple forms of media that are very praised, but the people behind them rarely get the same attention or amount of praise as their work, sometimes people don't even know who they are, like, you think that a animation sequence in a animated show or movie looks awesome, but you don't know who is the artist behind it. That's what I'm talking about, many artists have their work very praised and celebrated by everyone, but their persons aren't, and if that happens so often, then I don't think I deserve any more popularity than these various artists who deliver so much good quality art.

I would really appreciate to see my art becoming popular, that would be really good to see, but it ends there, my art and general works become famous, but not me, I want my person to stay in the same place where I am today.

Being famous isn't easy, there are challenges you have to deal with when you become popular, and even responsibilities, specially problems that can rise, becoming popular turns you into a easy target, many people may appear with the intention of sabotaging or deceiving you.

So I'm really not interested in dealing with all of these, nor I believe that I'm spiritually or mentally prepared for it. I prefer to stay the way I am, I'm happy enough having friends, family and money

I think the fame is almost always through some for of art or work - written, spoken, performed. People themselves rarely become famous for who they are - it's usually results of their work, be it art, craft, or anything else (even thought these two things cannot be completely separated).

Also the concept of being (not just horse)famous itself is a bit strange - there are countless of people who contribute to the community and we openly more appreciate those whose work became popular. Nothing bad about it. But I seriously doubt, that any of those people spent so much time and effort to reach the goal of being famous in the community - and if they did and succeeded... well... you deserve it :) enjoy!

The more important question is "How will YOU contribute to the fandom?" or "How would YOU like to contribute to fandom" which is a good goal to focus on. Not everypony has to do so - being just a fan is totally fine and ultimately all the effort of others aims at fans.

From the point of view of the person who sometimes get the spotlight... yeah, been there did that, it's fun, but not a goal. It's a great way how to do some things together, make a show for others and bring the group effort to the new level for everypony. It tingles the ego for sure, but that's part of the show and works for just a short time.

In general, it gives you more options and it's up to you how you use it - if you keep it for yourself, or share it with the community. I prefer the second option ;)

Exactly that's what I need, I want to celebrate MLP and the fandom, one thing is becoming popular, other thing is supporting the community, and I truly feel happy for being part of it! Thank you! :mlp_smug:
