Did you like anything stereotypically girly before MLP?

so back in 2009-2010 I was a I Miley Cyrus fan (still am I just don't like any of her new music since then really) I once went to one of her concerts by my self, I had been to a bunch of concerts alone so it was not out of the ordinary for me. I was 25 (male) at the time and the mom that was sitting next to me with her family noticed that I was not with anyone and asked me about it. I was to embarrassed to tell her the truth so I told her that I was going to take my girl friend who was a fan but we had broken up and I went just to spite her. I had a girl friend at the time and she found the ticket sub a few weeks latter and when I told that I was a fan and went by my self she did not believe me. she thought I went with a girl and that I was lying to her. I had to show her that I had a bunch of song hidden on my ipod (I deleted the artiest name so they could only be found under the album name) it took me a few days to convince her that I did not go with a girl and I really was a fan.

anyone else have anything like that happen to them?

Power puff girls :D! I have now seen anything for a while, but I remember watching it a lot X3. Does that count as girly?

you know I am not shore? I think the girlyness was part of the joke. I watch PPG as a kid but did not think of it as a girls show. seemed like just a show that had girls as the mane cast.

I used to like Dora the Explorer, a lot. Up until I turned 13, that is.

Also Powerpuff Girls, WordGirl, and one of the Monster High movies.

There's probably more, but I don't recall right now.

Never thought of Dora as girly, but I guess that then.

I watched powerpuff girls and never thought it was girly either.

Although I liked Totally Spies and was kind of aware that it was a bit girly.

Dora is pretty girly. Although,to be fair, it's a kindergartner's show. At that age, you really haven't established what's girly or not.

Totally Spies was pretty amazing.

Yeah alright, "girly things". Hmm, MLP and LPS, I've been a fan of both franchises for a really long time. c: Oh, and that I watched anime of all types, that including Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew, some extra early anime favorites of mine.

I also remember watching Totally Spies, Powerpuff Girls, and also really liking Dora the Explorer when I was very young.

The PPG back whenever I was really little and when it was airing on tv. I always thought that show was funny but my favorite cartoon of that time was Courage, Ed, Edd and Eddy along with many cartoons of that era. But no never was into anything girly prior to this

Whenever I was younger, I did have some barbie dolls and that whole house set. I forget how I obtained that, but would always make it to where Barbie and Ken were at constant war for the home. Throwing all sorts of shit at each other, including babies. T'was fun.

I also really liked Kim Possible and still kind of do. That was a neat show.

I liked MLP G3 when I was 6, Word Girl when I was about 10, and The Powerpuff Girls when I was 6-10. I could probably still enjoy World Girl and Powerpuff today, but I'm not really interested in spending time watching them.

G3 was the only thing I really considered girly, though. The rest were just... TV shows. Like Harry Potter is a book series, not directed towards an audience determined by gender. Or something.

I'm not a very feminine person, though. I avoid nail polish, spaghetti straps, makeup, hair crap, and other stereotypically girly stuff. I was more of a tomboy when I was younger.

Oh my God. Hear me out. My older sister was a huge fan of *NSYNC for a while, so for some reason, I became a huge fan of them as well. I think I even had a mancrush on JT once... *shudders*

Well I really liked the powerpuff girls as a kid, that's not all that unusual, other than that I really can't think of anything. Well there's that and Caramel Dansen.

Also, woo 800th post!

Oh yes, and how could I forget, I really like backstreet boys and N'Sync, oh yeah and britney spears. Baby one more time and Larger than Life are my jam!

I used to watch WorldGirl. I don't understand how it's girly.

I liked Hello Kitty when I was really little and I watched PPG growing up. I also remember playing with barbies, not very much though. But I'm a girl, so it isn't exactly embarrassing. :v
