I speak english and only english.

I took french back in highschool, but french is boring and I didn't care for it.

I always had a fascination with russian though. Thinking about learning it one day.

I speak French and English.

My English isn't perfect so I try to improve it. However, I don't want to learn another language. These 2 are sufficient to me.

For languages that I want to speak, I checked everything. Since I don't have a good memory, the top five languages I want to speak (in order of priority) are Spanish, Russian, French, Japanese, and Chinese.

I mainly speak English.

However, I can also speak in a light conversation kind of manner in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian (all three of them are very similar tho). (since I have parents who were born in Former Yugoslavia (check my profile for more info)).

I would like to learn how to speak:

German, French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese. :)

I speak English and Esperanto fluently.

I can understand Czech well, but have difficulty speaking it.

I am currently studying French and German, and occasionally Latin.

I would like to be able to speak every language.

As of right now, I only possess fluency in English. I also know a bit of Spanish and I eventually want to converse fluently in that language someday. At the very least, I wish to be literate and to be able to write eloquently in the language.

Below are all the foreign languages I wish to someday at least achieve literacy in:

  • Spanish
  • Portuguese
  • French
  • Greek
  • Hebrew
  • Arabic
  • Swedish

Following the previously listed languages, are the few foreign languages I wish to at least understand decently:

  • Russian
  • German
  • Italian
  • Latin

I'm a native English speaker. I live in Japan so I also speak Japanese. Whether or not you'd call me fluent depends on who you'd ask. I suppose from a definitive standpoint, I'm not technically fluent, but I can speak fluidly and typically I have very few if any problems with language in my daily life.

In the past, in addition to Japanese, I've also studied Chinese, German and Arabic. Chinese, I remember bits and pieces when I hear it. German is the same way. Arabic, not so much. I only took it for one semester and the professor wasn't really a very good teacher. All I remember is "Hello," "Thank you" and how to write my name.

As for other languages, I'd be willing to learn almost anything. Language is the only academic area I'm any good at. I can't math, I can't science, I can't history but I can sure language you some words. I just find it fascinating and if I had the opportunity, I'd jump at it. For whatever reason, recently, I've taken an interest in Esperanto. I just learned that there are actually native Esperanto speakers, which made me very excited. So I guess I was sorta curious about it. But for all intents and purposes, I'd like to learn just about any language.

My native tongue is English and my secondary language is Spanish. I'm not fluent in Spanish yet; I'm still working on it. A language I would LOVE to learn is Swedish. French is another language I want to learn as well.

I know English and a little French.

I wouldn't mind speaking every language except Japanese, I hate Japanese with a passion !

I want to speak Estonian but it's not on the poll :c. So I guess I'll go with Finnish then, since it's kinda close.

(I want to know Estonian and Finnish, but I don't want to learn them )

Japanese and German would be my two most want-to-learn languages. I hardly speak any Irish. :P

I am very lame in the sense of languages, I really only credit English as any language I can speak even remotely fluent. I want to lean the ever so hard Asian languages and something like German would be cool too.
