I've just been listening to music and I was watching the video's because I had nothing better to do. then I got to 'smile' lilly allen' and the video was horrible. it really ruined the song for me.

"Maps" by Maroon 5.  Although I chose to not  let it bother me too much, or even dislike the song as much as before.  Just learned to be careful and wary around music videos.  And to pretty much never watch any more Maroon 5 videos :/ Although "Sugar' was alright.

Videos that ruined the song for me, can't think of any. But one direction kinda ruined teenage dirtbag for me when they did it live. And it was bollocks.

Many of Horror by Biffy Clyro

Ruined by Matt Cardle turning it into X Factor trash. Renamed the song, made an awful cover, and now many people think that Matt did the original, and are saying that Biffy covered Matt...

It's really annoying because I saw Biffy Clyro at Glastonbury 2010... and their set was amazing... and now this is what people think of them...

Many of you probably know the song 'Symphony of Destruction' by Megadeth, awesome song right? It really is, it's a classic! Now, what if you took that song, put it through a grinder and decimated it? 

 

Arch Enemy did just that years ago.

 

It is a shame too, I actually really like Arch Enemy but this cover was absolutely horrible. Nothing about it is good in my opinion, not a single thing. I think this is a song that just cannot be covered properly, even Nightwish could not manage to do a good cover for it. 

 

It doesn't ruin the original song for me at all, but the AE cover really tried.
