So ive been on a bit of an Adam Sandler kick, and ive found out he can be a REALLY good actor when he wants to be. I loved The Cobbler. The movie Click made me cry more than Snowdrop (thats hard because im pretty sure i made another ocean during that).

 

But then he also makes stuff like Grown ups and Jack and Jill. Yaaaaaaaaa, no explanation needed.

 

So i was wondering what are some of his more dramatic roles like Click or The Cobbler? I want to watch more, but id like to avoid crappy comedies like the Grown ups, and watch more comedy/dramas that hes good at.

I tend to avoid Adam Sandler movies like the plague, but there is one that I think is good, well acted, not over the top and has a unique premise and setting (in the 80's) that makes it a neat trip. If you haven't seen it already, I recommend The Wedding Singer.

Oh my god, i forgot the Wedding Singer! Unfortunately i have already seen that, but it is exactly the type of Sandler movie that i love watching.

I think Adam Sandler movies get a lot of unnecessary hate. He's had plenty of good movies IMO, like Happy Gilmore. It's just a shame people remember stuff like Jack and Jill more >.<

Last movie of his I enjoyed was Click(though admittedly I have a soft spot for Bedtime Stories). When he puts effort he can show some great stuff, but, mostly for his recent stuff, his work tends to suck

 

 

That said, I still think Big Daddy was his best

Jack and Jill was a pretty great movie. So we're grown ups and grown ups 2. I've neverending laughed as hard at a movie as I have at grown ups 2 when I saw it in cinema just cause the story is shit don't mean it is shit. There is literally no story really in any of the scary movies, yet they're great.

But for his best movies, it'll be little Nicky, billy Madison, click, big daddy, them kinda ones really. There's one he did I think called the longest yard which is great.

50 First Dates is my favorite Adam Sandler movie. He is funny in it, and doesn't overdo it.

I think that Adam Sandler has really been going downhill in the last 10 years. The last Sandler movie i really enjoyed was Anger Management and that's not because of Adam Sandler.

Only Adam Sandler movies I liked were Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Little Nicky, Hotel Transylvania, and Big Daddy. I'm also excited for Hotel Transylvania 2.

Happy Gilmore is really the only funny Sandler movie that I liked from start to finish.  Reign Over Me looks really good, and that's a serious role.  I haven't seen it yet.  It's sitting on my DVR.  Just haven't found the time yet.
