What is the funniest moment(s) from season 5 so far?

For me the funniest moments from season 5 were:

 

- Pinkie sliding half way across Equestria on a sled. 

- Starlight Glimmers "QUIET!" face.

- Rainbow Dash's impersonation of Twilight.

- Twilight kicking Angel into a puddle of mud.

The moment where Gummy becomes really existential in Slice of Life. That was by far the hardest I've laughed at a joke in the show so far

I'll have to concur. Gummy's philosophical monologue is absolutely hilarious.

 

But there's one other, which I find a little funnier: "You're the most basic of jokes." @Wind Chaser posted a great analysis why this punchline works so well here.

Twilight's fear of quesadilla's definitely.  There just soo cheesy.

But after that I would go with Pinkie joining a band that almost made it big, but split over creative differences.

After that I would go with Maud destroying Discord with "Your the basic of jokes."

"So do we go up the slide or what?"

Then there would be Fluttershy talking about the time where she and Discord went to the store and bought two cakes.  Her poker face and the awkward pause made it work.

I def laughed out loud when, in Lost Treasure of Griifinstone, when trying to save Rainbow Dash from falling into the ravine, Pinkie grabbed the end of Rainbow's rope tied to the anchor rock, tied it around herself, and jumped down after her. That is so Pinkie Pie to make a decision to save a friend so quickly that she didn't think it 100% through. It just cracked me up entirely.

Season 5 has already had many moments that have made me laugh a lot, I think this is the most comedic season so far and I love it!

That one caught me so off guard that my lungs nearly collapsed from laughing so hard. Not only is this an awesome reference that was delivered in such a random and funny way, but I just never expected MGS to ever be referenced in My Little Pony of all things.

Oh, so many. I could just be lazy and say "Any moment with Pinkie Pie", but here's a few of my favorites:

 

- If my avatar wasn't a clear enough indicator, the entire pancake breakfast scene from Castle Sweet Castle is comedy gold, from Pinkie saying she lost a spoon in the batter, to Twilight falling asleep into her stack of pancakes, Pinkie jumping out from under the table Jaws style to grab a pancake and many more.

 

- The skit between the three "Sky" Pegasus was also hilarious, which seeing as it's unbelievably meta and based on an actual comedy skit that shouldn't be a surprise.

 

- Slice of Life had Vinyl and Octavia's duel bow/record spin before they began rocking out, which left me crying with laughter.

 

- So many good jokes from Party Pooped, but Twilight and Pinkie's increasing panic faces were the highlights of the episode. That and her inexplicable and out of nowhere fear of quesadillas

Party Pooped was a pretty funny episode, especially Pinkie's "I'm not nervous!", Twilight's fear of quesadillas, and "So... do we walk back up the slide or what...?

But in all, I'd have to say my favorite moment was Gummy's inner monologue in Slice of Life. There's something about his blankness that just gets me.
