She told the shopkeeper to deliver it to a Scarlett's place even if it did take her two hours explain where the house was located. She walked around the town some more after that. Sometimes running into old friends and sometimes old enemies. When she was done she sat down by the docks, waiting for the others to return. Delivery pony is going to be surprised when he finds nothing. Just assume Caramel told the delivery pony where to drop the stuff off, also mentioning that there isn't a house at that address...she payed him well enough to not tell anypony about it..
