Starswirl's portrayal in future episodes, and Voice.

Almost every brony who has watched mlp from season 2-season 4 knows who Starswirl the Bearded is.

 

However, after watching Drwolf's idea of a Starswirl episode, I couldn't help wondering: If Starswirl appears in an episode personally to Twilight and friends, what would he be like? Who would make the best voice actor for him? And which out of the different designs would be best?

Just make him like Mufasa and have him be dead but talk to Twilight in a vision or something. Or make him an old hermit, living in exile in a swamp somewhere. You know, like the little green guy from Star Wars...what was his name? Oh yeah, Chuck Norris!

 

Anyway, I'd put him in the season finale as a guy who helps Twilight defeat Starlight and that way Twilight isn't booked as ridiculously OP, instead as a hero who needs help to save the world. It'll be great!

I have read many a fanfictions featuring Starswirl, and without fail, every time I have read his voice, I have read it like Gandalf (that's how you spell it right? Don't crucify me LoTR fandom).

 

Starswirl just has that look to him. A very old and wise pony, with a normally raspy deep voice. But sometimes he cracks a joke here and there, and when he does his laugh is either loud and booming, or barely a weeze.

 

I doubt DHX or Hasbro could afford Gandalf's voice actor, but im sure someone could mimic it well enough to get the job done.

I like the idea of having him help Twilight and Co. from beyond the grave, in a similar manner to Yoda or Obi-Wan

 

As for his voice, my vote goes to Peter Cullen, AKA Optimus Prime

A shame, it would be lovely having Magneto in MLP 

 

I think he'll show up in the movie, and his voice... I think he would be like Disney's Merlin
