"Dr. Hooves" name is official

Maybe his name was worded that way to avoid trademark infringement?

Anyway, there are often minor spelling variations between some characters in the show and on licensed merchandise. This may be the same thing.

This is an official brand on "Xbox Live" and look. It's Dr Hooves not Whooves and that must mean he is named on the show.     Here is the link:   http://marketplace.x...07d8?cid=search    Am I right?

In the credits of the MLP episode, "Slice of Life," he was acredited as "Doctor." And nothing more, nothing less, so as far as canon. "Doctor," is his name.

Where can i find this t-shirt, or other similar ones?

Is it in a game category or is it general or something?

I must be the only one who likes "Ditzy Do", "Muffins" and "Minuette" more than the fandom names  :derp:

Well, you're not the only one who like Minuette.  I always called her that.  I never cared for the name Colgate.  Minuette is beautiful.  Colgate is toothpaste.

I've never seen Dr. Who, but I love Dr. Hooves, and I'll always call him that, whichever way you want to spell it.

I like Dr. Hooves just fine, they probably avoided adding the "W" to avoid any copyright issues.

I actually thought Colgate was her given name, now that know what her real name is, I like Minuette better. I had to think about it for a second but a light bulb went off when I realized her cutie mark is an hourglass.(the same as Dr. Hooves coincidentally)  I was like "Oh, minute! I get it.".

This is news? The cards, credits, comics, and mobile game have referred to him as "Dr. Hooves". Heck, one of the producers even SAID that his name is Dr. Hooves. As for Time Turner, that's simply not his name anymore, maybe a nick-name now? At any rate, I think it'd be disrespectful not to call a character by their official name.

What's that? Want proof of his name?

Yo! I'm Shenron00, but you can call me “Shen” if you want!

Thanks to WheatleyCore for the sig! BTW, yes, I do realize that's Carnage and not Shenron.

I actually liked the name "Time Turner" when I first heard it, although I can see how it's possible that they just couldn't use it since it's something from Harry Potter (it's kind of like how you probably couldn't have a pony named Light Saber either).

So he is the Doctor! Like, the 14th one. How many doctors are there again? I've only seen episodes 1-10 of season 2.

I really don't like the show Doctor Who.

I still refer to this character as Time Turner.

I like doctor who but I prefer the name Time Turner as well, it just sounds better ya know? And it sounds like a more realistic pony name than Doctor Hooves.

That's the same for a friend of mine on another site. He seems to be a real big Doctor Who fan, but he prefers the name Time Turner.

That made me realize no one has mentioned how that sounds like a Harry Potter pony. That also made me realize how much better Dr. Hooves sounds to me. Time Turner makes me think of a bookish mare with a bushy mane and tail. If you don't know what I'm getting at, you're fired.

And with big front teeth, too?
