Looking for advice: Character based on "Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything"

In this show, Conor seems to have the real life ability to turn anything into a video game. For as long as this is engaged he has video game powers and can affect the world as if it's a video game.

 

I was thinking, what if a Unicorn had this ability? I'd like to make it as close to canon as possible, so this would probably have to do with arcade machines.

 

Can you guys help me create a character with this as her talent please?

How would that be possible since pony doesn't have portable gaming or even home console gaming? Of course if the setting supports it then sure, but for the most part I'll be using RL games and saying it's an arcade in pony.

i was actually thinking that she would carry around gameboys, DS's, PSP's, and so forth.

That would require real world knowledge and would break canon very very heavily. I'm trying to use canon as a springboard first and explain how it works in an as canon as possible setting. What do you think of using arcade games she's played in the past as powers? This girl plays a lot of arcades.

i dont think it would break cannon THAT much...after all...if they have arcades, and a machine capable of reading brainwaves, then im sure they've invented portable handhold consoles.

i, for one, like the idea that she uses chaos based magic. 

 

and that she'll be a novice in it, not on discord's level. but at the same time, it would bend cannon pretty far...

 

after all, only discord's species can cast chaos magic, as of late.

you gotta ask yourself, 'how would dark magic make these things?'

 

but for now, i think we should put chaos magic as a possibility.

I guess possibility then. It's just that I'm trying to avoid overpowering her to the extreme, man. Chaos magic implies a connection to Discord or being part draconequis, which is OPed by definition even at novice level.
