Character names

Do you think it would have been fairer to assign different names to the characters of EG than their ponies counterparts?

"Rainbow Dash" "Applejack" "Pinkie Pie" are names that sound more like "nicknames" that personal names .. I think that would be more fun to give them a different name. Also because this thing would have allowed a better distinction between the human characters and the pony characters.

Good idea but it'll confuse people in my opinion :/

In regards to marketing it probably would be better to keep names as-is just to keep confusion at a minimum.

 

Granted I can see where it would be interesting in general, but at the same time we're a bit too used to our names, so I fail to see how it would make it better or interesting, but that's me.

It is a good idea because I have never heard of real people named like that, but it could be kind of confusing.
