What do you think is the typical behaviour of fans of each Mane Six member?

Rarity fans: Happy ponies =)=)=)=)=)=)=)

AJ fans: Happy ponies =)=)=)=)=)=)

RD fans: Happy ponies =)=)=)=)=)=)=)

Pinkie fans: Happy ponies =)=)=)=)=)=)=)

Twilight fans: Happy ponies =)=)=)=)=)=)=)

Flutter fans: Happy ponies =)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)

Point is that people are different and I don't think you can really say their 'typical' behaviour based on their favorite pony, because people have different reasons for their favourite pony you can't really categorize them and create stereotypes based on their favorite pony =)

Interesting question. I will now stereotype these fans (myself included).

Pinkie fans: These can go one of two ways, thanks to Cupcakes. You have the incredibly active fans, who talk A LOT. Then the emo-ish sadistic type fans, who like her "alter-ego".

Twilight fans: I imagine these people to be the elitist group. Twilight has been given the most screen-time and character development, so she must be the best! :^)

Rarity fans: Rarity fans are the more quiet type. They typically don't show they're appreciation for the show out in public or anywhere unnecessary.

AppleJack fans: Hipsters. (Ironically)

Fluttershy fans: Dear Celestia... Here are the over-the-top fans, who will defend the show without mercy. Can be quite loud at times, but there are so many Fluttershy fans it's really hard to get a strong idea of what-the-buck they are.

Rainbow Dash fans: The casuals. Really, I've never met a more laid back bunch than these guys. I've personally only met like 3 RD fans, but they're really chill.

Well I don't think it is who your favorite pony is that defines who you are :adorkable: We define who we are based on our actions ^_^ I mean I love Twilight to death but I can be annoying and very giggly at times xD

It's all in good fun ^.^ I doubt we can seriously say, "this is how these fans act" without some proper data :P

I remember a time when this would have started all kinds of drama :nom:

Hmm, I dunno. I think some fans maybe share similar traits to their favorite ponies, but it doesn't matter too much.

It is impossible to do this without some generalizing and you know you have your fans that defy certain things but here are the patterns I myself have noticed.

Applejack: Many of her fans, myself included tend to be older than your average fan (I am 29). This is partly due to the fact that we as working adults can identify a bit more with Applejack's struggles with work and family. Many fans, especially younger ones sort of dismiss Applejack as a bit boring which is a bit of a shame though this is starting to lessen thanks to some great character development in season 3 and 4. I have also noticed a lot of AJ fans from the south and midwest which is certainly not the case with me as I have been born and raised in Southern California.

Twilight Sparkle: One of the main messages I get from Twilight's character is that it is okay and even cool to be an intellectual and even a tad nerdy. It does makes sense that many of Twilight's fans fall under this. It is also a reflection of the "geek" culture's slow, steady transformation from a niche to mainstream and even hip. Twilight is not trying to be "hip" but being like her seems to be increasingly becoming that.

Rainbow Dash: Hard to say, Rainbow Dash has one of the most diverse fanbases in this fandom. Most of the Rainbow Dash fans I have interacted with have actually been fairly cool. A lot of casual fans are drawn to Rainbow Dash due to her tomboy personality but there are plenty of hard core fans and in between that like her as well.

Pinkie Pie: Most of her fans seem very optimistic and are drawn to her positive, upbeat attitude though there is a significant portion of hers fans that are a bit darker and like her "Pinkamena" fan persona as has been shown in the infamous gorefic Cupcakes.

Rarity: Like a lot of Applejack fans they tend to be a bit older and a lot of female fans seem to like her as well which I have also noticed with Applejack. A lot of people are annoyed by her "dramatic" flair but many of her fans find it endearing and even funny at times. A lot of her fans seem to be drawn to complex, nuanced characters that for some can be a bit of an acquired taste so to speak. Rarity fans are very loyal to their favorite pony and can sometimes get a tad defensive with criticism towards her.

Fluttershy: Also a fairly diverse fanbase, a lot of shy quiet fans but also some louder ones that can get a tad defensive as well though you have some of those for everypony. Many of them suffer from some form of shyness or social anxiety and there are a great deal of them who like her mainly because they find her cute.

@@ooBrony said it perfectly. To describe the "typical" behavior of bronies of specific characters is to induce or create stereotypes. No one brony is the same regardless of their preferences.

We don't tend to resemble our favourite ponies from what I can tell, for example I am a Pinkie Pie fan and I am an introvert. And a lot of Fluttershy fans are anything but shy

I can't see this thread going well at all

Rainbow Dash fans: The casuals. Really, I've never met a more laid back bunch than these guys. I've personally only met like 3 RD fans, but they're really chill.

As RD fan I really like this one, especially since I fit the description pretty well. It's also rare to see the word "casual" defined without bearing any of the negative connotations fandoms often pretend it has, unfortunately

I was gonna argue with you so hard, like i bet this guy will never guess who i am because my fav pony is so much different then me.

Then you did it in one word.

Welp.

And the rest of these match very well from who I've met. It may not be the end all be all, but man, it's a solid guideline.

Woo! Let's stereotype! *throws hooves in the air*

Rainbow Dash fans: Some of the loudest bronies who will gladly be like, "HECK YEAH, BRONIES RULE," pretty much anywhere, anytime. They're much more competitive and tend to wanna win debates with other bronies (whether they were supposed to be debates or not).

Pinkie Pie fans (eg. me): Bouncy people who like watching the show while quoting every line and singing along to every single song. Buys lots of merchandise, and are convinced that they too can break the fourth wall if they try hard enough. To them, Pinkie is half favorite pony, half divine power.

Rarity fans: Enjoy seeming elegant, like Rarity. May imitate her accent. They want Mlp clothing, but only if it's stylish, so they can be fashionable like their pony muse. Will gush over Rarity with other fans, but tend to keep quiet around non-bronies so they aren't judged.

Applejack fans: They live in the shadows, only coming out when someone disses their favorite southern pony. Least likely to argue over who's best pony, because they already know, and that's all that matters. Tend to be more reserved.

Fluttershy fans: Most likely fans to also be fans of anime and anything else that's cute. Doesn't argue over best pony- they just post pictures of Fluttershy and know that's all it takes, because "oh my gawd, she's sho adowables!!" X333 Collects MASSIVE amounts of Fluttershy fan art.

Twilight Sparkle fans: Most likely to debate about the show and it's details, delve into the world hidden past the episodes, and try to figure out what's going to happen next. When in debates over who's best pony, likes to be as factual as possible. May sometimes take the show too seriously.

Disclaimer - This is supposed to be funny, and please don't get offended cuz anyone can be fans of anypony no matter what they're like, and you're all awesome. :3
