Youtube Transcribe Audio... is it a joke?

has anypony ever tried to use the transcibe audio feature on youtube?

 

i did on my own video and got some intersting results...

i have heard of other bizarre results from it for other videos, and now i ask,

is it some kind of joke? or is it just really really really bad?

it's not perfect but they are working on it,

can you imagine how hard it would be to create a program like that ?

Anyways, someone should try say the words of a song intentionally wrong and see if transcribe pumps out the correct words. That would be trippy.

Well it's in beta but boy does it give me a good laugh every now and then.Personally I think they have stopped working on fixing it because they saw what funny result the beta gives so they're just keeping it.

Transcribe Audio works best on videos that have little to no background noise, and a loud, clear voice.

 

Its pretty awesome the way it is though. I can't believe some of the things I get when its turned on!

Yeah, it's a little iffy, but man does it give you some laughs. As stated before, it's in the beta stage, but for a Google product, I'm quite shocked.

 

The results are mostly hilarious, and they should have the materials and money to fix it compeltely in the coming future. If they come out with a perfect version, I hope they keep the beta for the whole community though, it would be a good decision.

I too found it rather hilarious, but I question just how accurate they can make it, even if it is only in Beta form right now. Will be interesting to see, for sure.
