Am I the only one who calls background ponies by their official name?

It seems that most Bronies barely ever call background ponies by their official name. For example (Official name followed by fan name):

 

Sweetie Drops = Bon Bon

 

Minuette = Colgate

 

Amethyst Star = Sparkler

 

Berryshine = Berry Punch

 

I know Sweetie Drops was called Bon Bon in Slice of Life, but that's only what she tells random ponies as her name, it's certainly not her actual name.

I call them all by their official names except for Bon Bon, Berry Punch, and Derpy.

I didn't know who Anthemist star was so I never called her anything. Also, I don't like the name Colgate. Minuette rolls off the tongue better. Lastly you can't call Derpy something else or the Brony world will shun you!

I usually call them by their official names

I did not even know most of those nicknames in that list, aside from Bon Bon. Bon Bon is one of the few I call by the fandom nickname. The rest I seem to go for the official names, mainly because I a lot of them I have no idea on the nicknames on the first place, then the official names just stick.
