Dark Qiviut 19,758 Share April 17, 2012 I, too, would love to leave a mark on here. I've done this in three other forums I've been to, where I offered my wisdom, wit, and presentation of logical opinion. I have every intention to continue this trend here. Jay6 29 Share April 17, 2012 I'm well known in a way already, but perhaps not by everyone. However, if I had kept doing stuff for the fandom, I'd probably be a bit more popular. I don't do stuff to be more popular though; I just do stuff out of habit. "I do what I want."
Ashbad 967 Share April 17, 2012 I'm rather new here, and I'm trying to make my mark. I can probably try harder to do so, though; however, I hate the feeling of posting for the hell of it. I always preferred quality over quantity.

I always preferred quality over quantity. I'm generally the same way. I just post when I actually have a legitimate response in my brain. *GASP* Such as this! Though this one is considerably less substantial. ^^;

Starswirl the Trixie 973 Share April 18, 2012 I'm the forum loser. loljk I just need to be way more active. 639 posts in 2.5 months? You're too active if anything. My 100something posts in 2.5 months gives me title of forum loser, thank you very much. And yes, Feld0, that means I'll be needing a unique forum badge...
PeachPalette 1,000 Share April 18, 2012 Well, I certainly don't mind being well known. I mean...I'd like to be.
Nightfall 3,949 Share April 18, 2012 Aight, so how about me? If so, is there any way I could help anypony else become popular? If not, well... character before post count, as one of my friends says.
M14Brony 92 Share April 18, 2012 Anyone can. It's just a matter of dedication and personality. I agree with this. Everypony should simply focus on creating quality posts, as this will help ensure that everypony can make his/her unique mark on the forums.
Dany Heatley 157 Share April 18, 2012 I plan on becoming the internet tough guy around here soon enough As long as people don't hate me, I'm good One of my posts got 20 likes/brohoofs though, and I'm somewhat proud of that... lol my highest brohoof'd comment was saying A joke saying I had sex with a black guy I'm not really proud of that
Scootaloo Is Best Filly 574 Share April 18, 2012 I at least hope to be one of those guys who you think has great potential/well known some day. This would probably be the first forum that I had actual "Potential" in.
Ice Storm 1,020 Share April 18, 2012 Well, honestly. The main question here is where do you draw the line between an old member and a new member? I mean obviously a new member is a member that's joined with in a couple weeks to a month, and also an old member is generally classified as a member that has been around for at least a year. But there are several people who have only been with a forum for maybe two months top, I actually fall within the first, (At least if I remember correctly it was only a couple weeks ago that I joined.) But still, that being said. While there is a literal meaning of the word "new" the context of which it is taken in this instance can be construed to have multiple different meanings, where as one person's view of what classifies a person as new can easily be different from another. That being said, is there really a "normal new" period? Obviously there are posting requirements here to be able to access certain features to the forums. However, in my several years of forums experience, # of posts is not necessarily relative to how long a user has been with the forums. An example would be a forum that I used to be a part of that dealt with the inheritance cycle, I've been a member of that forum for at least 6 years. but, I still have less posts than someone who joined only a year ago. Mainly because I only participated in Role-plays there, and those tend to be slow moving. So again it boils down, what the latest that something can be classified as "new" before it's not new anymore, and this no longer becomes "eligible" by the standards to become the "newbie that has the best potential to be known" but instead becomes the "member that has best potential to be known". I don't think that there is truly a way to try to judge something like this considering that the currently newbies are going to be regular members in only a few weeks in which time they will be replaced with more people that will be joining the forums. So with that, the cycle just continues. And we all have more bronies/pegasisters to share an awesome show/forum with.

Swordfishtrombone 384 Share April 18, 2012 Seriously though, I'm not even sure if you would call me a new member or a regular here as of yet. But I'm new enough to want to do big, important things, yet active enough to know that I wont. So I just sit by here, talk to my friends and watch the world turn. Although I would like to think that many have respect for me, ultimately if I have any presence, even minor, thats enough to convince me to keep posting. So long as at least one person reads and appreciates what I have to say, I'll stay right here. But do pardon my rambling here, I see a lot of potential in the members ScruffyPony and TwiForLife. Esmeshy 58 Share April 18, 2012 Anyone and everyone, if they put they effort in and make a significant contribution! It's hard to think of anyone off the top of my head because there's so many people that I love! Me, personally, I don't post nearly enough but I don't really mind not being well-known! I'm bad at forum posts most of time and I'm too much of a lurker. Haha! *shrinks into lurking mode* :
Finesthour 7,263 Share April 19, 2012 This seems like a thread to recieve attention x3 im not even caught up with the loop of new members, so I cant say anyway XD
Nothing392 59 Share April 19, 2012 You know personally, while sometimes I think it would be cool to have everyone know me, where I stand right now on MLP forums is good enough for me. Instead of being the equivalent of a famous person, I have instead made a few closer friends and such to talk with. It would be good for everyone to think positively of me, but I'd rather have a few friends and be happy than be popular and overwhelmed.
Mephala 2,627 Share April 19, 2012 LOL, anyone can be "popular". It just depends on how many people start to recognize your username and brohoof your posts when they find stuff they like.

Kapi 211 Share April 19, 2012 (edited) I agree with this. Everypony should simply focus on creating quality posts, as this will help ensure that everypony can make his/her unique mark on the forums. This is why I don't post much, I don't want to sound like an idiot or brag or anything if all its going to do is increase some number. I really only post when I actually ave something to say, or want to say something. That said, I am me. I know I'm not going to leave an impression on this, or any forum, I don't intend to, and I hope that's nobody else's intention. Just be yourself. Now then, sign up for all the message boards in the world and say "Kapi is best pony," and link to my website or YouTube. KTHXBAI. Wait.. Are those pitchforks? Are we making S'mores or something?
