friendship games Sunset Shimmer Magic Problems?

So over on the EQG website they've posted a new synopsis for the Friendship Games: 

 

 

Canterlot High meets its rival school, Crystal Prep Academy, in a competition that’s a long-standing tradition, The Friendship Games. Sunset Shimmer feels homesick for the magic of Equestria while she and her friends compete against Crystal Prep’s top students led by someone with an equal amount of interest in Equestrian magic, this world’s TWILIGHT SPARKLE.

I bolded the part about Sunset Shimmer cause I've noticed in the trailers and images Sunset Shimmer has a paler than her usual self. So my thinking is that Sunset is paler, not because of a design change, but because she's missing Equestrian magic/ something is affecting her.

So do you think Sunset could be feeling some sort of magical withdrawal or the like from being in the human world for too long, or that the magical disturbances caused by Twilight and the Friendship Games could be affecting her?

Actually, that isnt quite a bad theory. But she did bring Equestrian Magic into the human world so.. I am not sure

I thought she was lighter because of her symbolic change in the song, "My Past is Not Today", as in she has changed who she is and her new colors show that. But I do think she has something to do with the magic in the new movie.

I'm pretty sure her newly colored mane is more just a reflection of her change as a character rather than some kind of affection or ailment. Her original mane looked bright and fiery, whereas her new duller looking mane is warmer, reflecting her change of heart.

 

My question is, is Sunset Shimmer's homesickness something that she's picked up naturally, or is there some sort of magic at play that's causing it? I'd be surprised to see Sunset suddenly start to feel homesick after she's established a life and friendships in the human world unless there was something more to it. I'm now more interested in EQG 3 than ever.

Up until now I've been sure Sunset would stay in the human world but now I'm not so sure.... maybe she'll go back to Equestria at the end and human Twilight will complete the humane 6. I have mixed feelings about this though. On one hand I'd love to see Sunset as a pony on the show regularly, but also sad because she'd leave behind the great friends she made at Canterlot high

technically, Starswirl was to blame for bringing magic over...HE created the mirror, HE discovered the AU, HE banished the sirens there, while they were still able to use their magic. All of this before Sunny brought the crown over....

People keep saying to bring Sunset to Equestria, but I think they are planning on bringing Equestria to Sunset, and I'm sure Alternate Twilight will have a hand in doing that in the movie..

 

In seriousness, magic was her talent, and I feel she is homesick for that more than Equestria. They should bring more magic into the human world, so Sunset can task herself with managing it.

This is a very good theory. But in my opinion it may not be magical problems. It could be that her magic is expanding and growing, and since she's running into our worlds version of Twilight there's a possiblity this twilight may have magical properties like the other members of the main six
