How much do you think bronies will be made fun of in future popular media?

So I have been playing Sunset Overdrive (an over-the-top shooter), and in it there was a mission that was pretty much in there just to make fun of comic book nerds. There were jokes like "Don't open it, I want to savor the smell" and "maybe he was trying to hide it from his mom, I know I have".

It was funny as heck, but It got me thinking. This isn't the only thing that uses crude humor against people like this. There have been a lot of things in today's popular mediums that poke fun at the 'weird' or 'uncool' stuff.  Like if you don't like tossing a football with your dad you're weird or something.

But anyway, I digress. Bronies are the pinnacle of abnormal young adult fads, so I could see it being poked fun of in the future. So do you think bronies, and the MLP fandom will be made fun of in a similar fashion in the future, or do you think it didn't impact society enough to be memorialized as such?

Well concerning Sunset Overdrive, I think is a game where you either have to play it with no personality or be prepared to be made fun of. It is like some comedians where they make fun of everything and everyone and hope they get chuckles out of them. This is not to say I don't like it cause I watch South Park and stuff like that but some people might be a little sensitive.

Concerning the second question the media has probably got other people to poke and laugh at but they will cover any story just as long as they get extra views.

Probably, I remember the Bob's Burgers episode about bronies was especially hilarious.  Achieving immortality by fusing mouths with a rare pony doll. Haha

I think we will see a slight mellowing of the brony specific bashing in the future. The fandom is not as new and topical as it once was. It will become just another group of people to be made fun of, just like everybody else is for one reason or another.

Only stupid bullshit news channels, like fox news, and conservative christian networks will bash us in the future. No one really cares about people liking a television show except for internet trolls and idiots.

I think parody works in a fashion similar to the media. In other words, with the passage of time, unless some new stimulus from the same source appears, eventually most people decide that it is no longer entertaining to poke fun at something, and lose interest.
