Just so you know, you should raise your STR and INT to at least something like a 3 or a 4, because INT 1 is basically the equivalent of a vegetable and STR 2 the equivalent of a 90 year old great-grandmother.

Min-maxing a.k.a. lowering "useless" stats and skills and maxing out others for the sake of efficiency over roleplay is generally frowned upon by RPers. This is not a video game. You are not playing to win.

Sorry if I'm being blunt, but min-maxing is something that REALLY irks me. Each time I see a Fallout or FoE RPer stat-dump on INT and AGI and place something like CHA or LCK to 1 or 2 because "they don't need it", I die a little inside, because that is completely BS. Saying that your character is weak when you have STR 2, or antisocial with CHR 2 is a total understatement. Don't be a min-maxer, period.

It's okay if you are intentionally lowering stats for the sake of impairing your character, but you better have a very good reason for it. You likely have a hoof missing if you're AGI 2, got dropped on the head if you're INT 3, or a very ugly ghoul if you're CHA 2.

Just remember:

SPECIAL 1 or 2: Fundamentally disabled. Don't go here unless you really want your character to.

3: Somewhat impaired.

4: Just not good at it.

5 or 6: Average.

7 or 8: Gifted.

9 or 10: Extremely specialized.

I don't care about INT or STR

Oh you're right, newcomers. While I am glad that min-maxing was pointed out, you don't really have to change it if you don't want to, however, I do have heavy penalties to min-.maxing.

An example(pretty harsh but this would be only fair to the other players) would be the 2 STR, at most I would allow you to wield a kitchen knife, and you probably wouldn't even be able to get more than one stab off (as you are too weak to pull out the weapon) and you're equip load/stuff you are carrying will greatly tax your endurance. Not only that, but if you wanted to use a pistol, you would be terribly inaccurate as the kick would be too much for your 2STR to handle and thus making you waste at least half your magazine to even get one bad shot off.

So by all means you can MIN-MAX if you really think you can handle the consequences that come with it.

I rather people not min-max in the first place. It really depends on how fun you think RPing really is with your actions, but you have to be aware that those actions affect others as well, and most people often ignore their characters' disabilities or not actually play to their personalities.

Also, approve app? :kindness:

Your numbers don't quite add up now, and I haven't really gotten around to looking at your app in detail sealand, I'll read it by tonight's end.

Also, for the newcomers, I know that you guys want to join this roleplay, and we've had a few leavers already.

So I ask you, are you going to be dedicated and be posting consistently in the roleplay.

Would you be willing to leave another roleplay(if you're in multiple) to make more time for this one?

And will you make well-written posts, I just don't want some lame post that adds nothing, if you have nothing to add just ask to skip your turn and let the next person go.

If you don't really feel certain about any one of these questions then please just say so now, i'd rather have you not join than to leave later on because you simply didn't have enough time because you had more roleplays to do or simply didn't want to join in the first place.

I will be able to post whenever I need to as long as I know when to post and I will be willing to abandon other roleplays if I need to

Eh, I made my skills based off the game system, though honestly I'm only keeping track of it as a reference and rather not have it directly influence anything through rolls or whatnot.

And I'm intending on returning to the forums and posting around here now, considering the last FoE site I was on is closing down...

It's hard to find a specialist FoE site, isn't it? :(

Actually, that was the only FoE RPG site I could find...kind of depressing me that it's going away. It was mostly staff-to-community issues that brought it down, and pretty much went down from there...most of the community are intending on starting a new RPG site though.

Here's hoping it happens
