Searching for people before we start.You will be taking place of a survivor somewhere on the Titan Station colony during a necromorph outbreak. You must survive in the chaotic death-trap, be it through hiding, teamwork. Or gunning your way through endless hordes of undead.

Quite self-explanatory, your characters job in the colony. 

Alignment

Who does your character stand with? Are you a strong unitist, do you support Earthgov, or are you neutral not caring of any bigger forces just living your forces. This helps understand where you stand in the role-play. 

Physical & Mental Description

Your characters age, gender, appearance. And mental status, beliefs and so on. 

Family

Sometimes family is an important part of your character. Who is your living family? Are they on Titan Station or on Earth, or maybe in some of the Sovereign Colonies? This sort of info goes here. 

 

Setting

 

Dead Space is set in 2508. Earth has been through an extinction-level event, caused by rapacious and unsustainable use of resources. The remaining humans realized that the only way to gain the resources to survive would be to search new planets for resources.

 

Creating "Planet Crackers" humanity managed to survive, literally cracking planets in order to harvest their resources. Creating many colonies in the meantime.

 

Titan Station

Titan Station (colloquially known as The Sprawl) is a civilian space station built into the last remaining fragment of Titan, one of Saturn's moons and the site of the first planet crack. Titan Station itself encircles the Shard of Titan as a large metropolis, with inner structures such as schools, malls, skyscrapers, and a Unitologist church

 

Unitology

Unitologists adamantly believe that the human race was created by the intelligent design of a divine alien agency, and will be reunified after death in Heaven through the power of a sacred artifact known as the Marker.

 

The promise of the Church of Unitology is one of "transformation and rebirth". This scriptural message is poetic, elusive and unscientific despite their claimed origins in a secret research project, and embodies the abandonment of reason for the profession of unwavering faith in the promise of the Marker.

 

Unitologists also believe in "Convergance", an event that will unify all men after death. 

 

Markers

Black Marker

The Black Marker is an alien artifact, discovered on Earth by the Earth Government in 2214. It was then hidden to discourage alien belief, yet was brought to public knowledge by Michael Altman, who had been contracted to research the Marker nearly 300 years prior to the events of Dead Space. Altman also created a cult around the marker, turning it into the Church of Unitology. 

 

The Marker also made people around it go insane, filling their minds with hallucinations. 

 

Red Markers

Red Markers are artificial replicas of the Black Marker, created by humans. They bare alike effects, also making people around them go crazy.

 

One of the markers "Marker 3A" is responsible for starting the necromorph infection. 

 

Necromorphs

Necromorphs are mutated and reanimated corpses, reshaped into horrific new forms by a recombinant extraterrestrial "infection". The resulting creatures are extremely aggressive, and will attack any uninfected organism on sight.

Mental Description: Spectrum is a mentally stable, calm person. He strongly respects the law, finding it an important part of our society, and doesn't understand people who mess around with it or break it on purpose to show something.  

His caring nature is matched only by his marksman skills, being dangerous even indoors where he is forced to currently operate. 

 

 

Family: None on Titan. 

Younger Sister: Eli

Brother in Law: Matthew

 

His parents died of old age, him and his sister being very late children. His one older brother died in a drug incident, but it didn't leave any long-term scars on the family. 

 

His sister and her husband live on Earth. Sylvester keeps close relations with her, not having any affections for anyone himself, so her being her only real family.
