Fallout: Equestria renewed my interest in writing, FiMFiction cemented my desire to write again. The show introduced me to the best community I've ever had the pleasure of being a member of.

 

So the show hasn't done a lot by itself, but this fandom brought me back to writing and editing--both skills I'll need in my career. Plus it kind of helped me go back to looking at the world with "childlike" wonder.

It didn't change it at all. I'm a fan and everything, and one of the things I like that most is the life lessons part. But since I've lived enough it was more of a "that's actually true" than a "omg I should apply this in my life", specially in Season 4. Other than that... it just made me buy pony related stuff and use some of my time to watch the episodes, but that's not life changing, it's a matter of what I like.

Actually my real life hasnt changed one bit.

 

But my internet life has. I never really found a community who i would stay active for that long time that i do here and had real problems finding any friends or places without people that hated me for some reason. 

 

But i have found friends here. This forum is fun  I havent met one person which i have problems with.

I just love it here. Apart from that one super mario forum years ago, this is the only place that kills my boredom and who i really like to be 

Im not that depressed anymore, im talking to some people...sometimes and i think it doesnt take that long anymore and this forum could become the site im most on and active

Personally, I would say I really have been affected for the better actually during my time in this fandom... Ponies are one of the real 'mane' things that really "got me back into" my interest in drawing and art and stuff... Which also helped me to pretty much escape my previous years of considerable depression really...... It kinda helped to serve as a "detachment" from this life, and be able to just kinda try to soak myself into the world of Equestria.
