When MLP Friendship is magic ends, Will that take the fandom with it? or will they make a new title of MLP Friendship is magic like something that seems different, Like say this... My little pony: Friendship is magic, Will it be like- My Little Pony: Fandom is Magic, Or something that relates to a whole new story with new characters and stuff like that? like My Little Pony: Derpy Muffins Power. I'm just wandering.. and i hope they will make a new series from the original Series. Or tell the story in their prospective of Princess Celestia and Luna.

Here's a bit of perspective.  Star Trek the Original Series went three seasons and 79 episodes in the 1960s.  I'd say that show's fandom has lived well past that.  :)

It would not end with the TV show. In fact Firefly only lasted one season 12 years ago and their fandom is still thriving to this day. I say that our fandom will not end, it will have a new beginning with the amount of Artwork and Fanfictions that will be written over the years after Friendship is Magic ends and into the beginning of G5.

It won't, new generations will come as they made lots of money with G4, the internet war between bronies and the haters will go on. You can still rewatch the show, or the older series, get lots of fanart and music, read the many MLP comics out there, create art yourself etc.

Also, what's up with the PonyisCool guy ? Is that a joke ?

There's no way the fandom will die right when the show ends. I think you can use the I famous "hiatus" to gauge what will happen to the fandom when the show comes to it's end. Yes, things may slow down a bit, but I'd be willing to bet that, with as much as they're making off this series from both the target audience and us bronies, that it won't take long after the last episode of FiM before Hasbro puts a spinoff series out there.

There'll be a G5. We know it's true. I'm sure we'll just wait for that or slowly fade from the fandom. But it'll still be there. Waiting.

I don't really like thinking about the show ending, but when it does, I'm sure there will be loyal fans who keep the fandom going for a while. I don't know how long things like conventions will last though. The fandom will probably shink quite a bit after a few years.

I'm not sure if FiM's fandom will live that long, but it's obvious it won't die shortly  :P

Of course not. The fandom will live on far longer than the show will I am sure. Unless the majority of bronies are like some that I have met where they pretty much were very quick to forget about the show in a short time period, but I don't think that is the case. WE have cemented our place in history it seems and I think the fandom will continue to have an impact on for a long time to come.

Trekkies from the first Star Trek have survived for generations, and Browncoats are heavily dedicated. Even when FIM ends, the brony fandom is strong enough with a very huge legacy that it can survive on its own.

Don't forget, we don't know what will come out of G5. If it's as good as or better than FIM, many bronies will migrate there.

Lemme give you a nice example of an long-lasting fandom. Ever hear of Battlestar Galactica? The original series premiered in 1978 and was cancelled after one season.

For a lot of shows that would be a death sentence, but the fandom for that show persisted. It even garnered new fans long after the series died; I was one when I first caught an episode in the early 2000s during a rerun on the SciFi Channel (as it was known then). Wanna know what happened later? The series was reimagined into the now well known and respected show it is now.

What does this mean?

This mean that fandoms can and will persist long after the thing that created them passes. Bronies will remain; albeit likely in smaller numbers, but we'll still be here. :)

Yes, the fandom will totally end when the show does, because absolutely nothing was done with Star Trek ever again after it went off the air in '69.

Oh, wait...

Well, then, what about that hokey show from the '70's called Battlestar Galactica? That went one season and no one ever heard from it again, ever...

What?

Uhm, well, you know, there was this terrible, frou-frou, girly cartoon from the 80's called My Little Pony...
