Calling all fan-fiction readers, writers, and editors! Poniverse is proud to present the trio behind the original Winningverse fanfiction collection! Each of these eloquent writers have been featured on the coveted Fimfiction feature page. Join us at MLP Forums on September 19, 2015 at 8:00PM CT to 11:00PM CT for a Forum Q&A with Comma-Kazie, Ponibius, and Chengar Qordath!

Comma-Kazie is one of Chengar’s strict grammar coaches. His skill with the written English language is akin to a surgeon with a knife. When he’s not tearing apart stories and feeding on the tears of despair, Comma-Kazie busies himself with creating stories such as From the Mouths of Fillies and its sequel Changes.

Ponibius contributes his time towards the editing process for Chengar in addition to writing several of his own stories. Twilight Sparkle vs. The Haunted Mailbox is Ponibius’s latest inventive creation. He’s also known for works such as The Study of a Winning Pony and The Incredibly Embarrassing Parents of Rainbow Dash.

Author of The Life and Times of a Winning Pony which spawned the Winningverse, Chengar Qordath has written a solid 28 stories coming in at over 1,500,000 words with over 22,000 favorites!  Chengar uses his stories to bring background ponies to life such as the flirtatious Cloud Kicker and dedicated Blossomforth as well as a wide array of original characters. He’s written other popular works such as Lunar Rebellion, The Incredibly Dense Mind of Rainbow Dash, and more!

Art generously provided by InuHoshi-to-DarkPen.  Be sure to check out more of her work on DeviantArt by clicking on her name and following the link to her DA page.

UPDATED: Due to a scheduling conflict for one of the GoH, the date of the Q&A has been moved from Tuesday, September 15th to Saturday, September 19th.  The time of the Q&A is still the same.  We apologize for the initial miscommunication, and will be sure to remind users as the Q&A nears the new date.

Of the 100-200 or so fanfiction stories I've read, I'm sorry to say I have not read the work of these authors.  :( 'Tis rather unfortunate. I hope that, if there are fans of theirs here on the forums, they get a good bit out of this interview!  :grin2:

This seems like it has potential to be a pretty great interview session.

Read this; should take you five minutes and should tell you all you need to know about Chengar's style of humor.  ;)

@@Batbrony, I'll admit, that was actually really great, haha.  :o For such a short story, it was a pretty refreshing read.

That's Chengar for ya; his stories are normally much longer (even the one-shots) and far more developed, and he even has some war epics mixed into his slice-of-life/comedy/drama fare, but that's pretty much him in a nutshell.  Great writer, solid command of characters, and terribly good at comedy, as well as mixing it in with more serious and dramatic plots.

Needless to say a thrilling selection of respondents. It will certainly be amazing to hear from the very source that weaved every sentence of such amazing stories.

Oh sweet! I have to mark my calendar for this day! I'd love to get some fan-fic writing tips, especially since I'm writing my own fanfics for the very first time! :D

Go for it! :muffins:  I've personally corresponded on a frequent basis with Chengar in the past and exchanged creative ideas with him, and I can tell you from personal experience that he's super helpful.  This should certainly be a good opportunity for many writers here to get some great tips from some seasoned authors and editors.

Hmm...I have a story I want to tell, but I don't know how to tell it effectively. On the other hand, I don't want high standards for writing fan fiction to get in the way of my vision for my potential stories.

I wonder what questions I should ask.

That's a great call from FIMFiction, two weeks later until these fandom members join us as a guest of honor! :D

Glad you like the choice, figured there'd definitely be more than a few members here familiar with the Winningverse.

I like the drawing! So cute!

You should definitely check out more of InuHoshi-to-DarkPen's art then, she's a wonderful fandom artist and has a very unique, original style.

Awesome! More stories for me to read!

Now if I can just finish my own stories...

More stories to read indeed, Chengar alone has quite the extensive library!  :D

Well if that's your problem, questions about finding your own voice, pre-reading, editing, that sort of thing would probably be good ones.  Keep brainstorming though, this is a great opportunity to get some great advice from very experience writers.  :squee:

I also love the art!

Having followed her art for around 2 years now, I can tell you without a doubt that InuHoshi-to-DarkPen is one of the best artists in this fandom.  You should definitely check out more of her art on DA if you get the chance.  :icwudt:
