How do you feel when you're buying MLP stuff in a shop?

Probably why i don't buy anything is the embarrassment that might fall upon me... And probably the fact that there are no such things as pony toys in our country... And probably because i am freaked out by the toys i saw on the internet that seem to be from "Hasbro" (They just look wrong, and weird). I would want a plushie tho!

Yesterday was the first day I bought ponies.

I walked into Target w/ my gift card.

Went right into the pony aisle, lots of people were there Christmas shopping.

I got the Rainbow Collection set and the Lyra Heartstrings brushable.

Walked out after paying like a boss  :P

I wasn't embarrassed at all!

I would most definitely give buying ponies a shot. It gives you more self confidence, and well, ponies!

Good Luck  ;)

kinda sorta....but im at the age that im old enough that they just assume its for my daughter. there was this one time at target i was with the wife at target buying for the angel tree and i came across cutiemark stickers. i couldn't help myself so i picked em and tossed em in the cart. my wife not being a team player made me pay for the separate.....because she is mean like that and loves seeing me in pain........j/k of course. so i make my way to the front and go to check out with some 17 year old girl cashier. she ends up falling in love with the stickers and wanted to know where they were, the wifes plan back fired! plus i dont think anyone would have said anything seeing as just about every where i go i open carry a 1911 on my right hip. but i can only imagine what some people thought when they saw a 5'9 stocky 25 year old with a gun buying cutie mark stickers......kinda funny now that i think of it.

oh and i refuse to go in toys r us! they dont allow carrying.

Yeah me personally naw.... I'll leave the toys for those who do like them  -_- ...

But I do like the plushies they did a great job with them.

Oooh, where is this plush from? It's beautiful!

Also, I got most of what I have online because it's so hard to find anything here. I have got a couple of blind bags irl and I felt no embarrassment whatsoever.

Me: *Walks up to the cashier with Pinkie Pie figure and Twilight in a baloon*

Cashier: o.O face *scans*  That would be $70.99.

Me: *Hands her the money* Ummm...it's for my...little...sister?

Cashier: *Hands back the change* Oh... that's really nice of you.

Me: Yeah...it's for umm... Christmas and stuff... Goodbye! *Turns around and walks away* (more like "run for your life", but okay)

  I don't have a little sister.

That's what it would be like if any of the stores here actually sold MLP merch :[ :(

I'd probably get used to buying from a place like Wal-Mart or Toys R Us because its not like people will remember me, but some of my old friends (more like enemies... Classmates) from elementary school work at my local Wal-Mart, so I wouldn't go there. Toys R Us is pretty far, considering I don't have my license, and that just leaves the comic book store near my school, but the guys there know me well so it would depend on how they react. I'll probably get the MLP comics soon anyways, so I'll judge it by that. If they don't care, then I'm gonna blow all my Christmas money there. XD

I've never actually bought a pony toy before, but....if I did I'm fairly certain I wouldn't be embarrassed. I lack the common sense needed to know that I'm buying a toy meant to entertain little children, and that I look absolutely stupid while doing so. Screw common sense, ponies forever.

Well, I've only brought pony trading cards and checked to see if the comic was in stock at my local comic shop. At the comic shop the cashier guy didn't give me any weird looks (I'm kinda on the younger side, still a guy though), and at the store buying the cards, they're tiny things that only the cashier really notices, and the cashier just checked them out like any normal item.

I suppose if I bought something more obvious I wouldn't be embarrassed. I wouldn't know though, I don't have any money!

The key to public pony swaggin' is to just plaaay it cool... If you act line it's no big deal then people tend to act the same way.

Now buying pony toys? Yeah it's a little embarrassing when your sifting through the hello kitty bullcrap, but I just put on my shades and hold my spaghetti. B|

I did feel a bit odd doing it (which is kind of odd since I buy stuffed animals all the time) but I don't feel weird anymore. It probably helps that I"m a girl (but I"m in my 20's ) . I felt a bit odd buying the castle since I was doing it at my work(and there's no subtle way to carry a giant pink castle), but I also picked out to go in one of the lanes with a cashier that I knew I wouldn't feel weird about buying it from. Now I don't care. I went to Target , bought like 20 blind bags (they had two different waves available) .

But yeah really cashiers don't usually care (I am one). I feel more awkward scanning people's undergarments, condoms, female products.  Cashiers might just ask if it's for you ,so that if you need a gift receipt you'll be reminded by that to ask for one. Also it's a miniconversation starter.

I go H.A.M. when buying pony swag. Female cashiers swoon for me!

But seriously, when I roll through Toys R' Us with a big black dude, an angry mexican guy, a swagged-out racially confused mexican guy, a white guy with an epic beard, and a sweaty puerto rican guy, people tend to think we're about to rob the place. Then it gets silly when we walk out with nothing but Transformer and Pony toys with big stupid grins on our faces. XD

I have no shame when I buy ponies even though I'm 24 years old. They all probably think this lady is just buying it for their daughter. My hubby has kind of grew ill of my obsession, but he can tell with it! I haven't turned him into a brony yet, but I will! Lol

I've never considered buying any merchandise, because honestly, I just really don't feel like it. But some collections people have are pretty impressive, though.

I'd like to think of myself as above feeling embarassed about it, but even I realize that I only buy ponies at a store when it's completely necessary. I don't really feel embarassed or ashamed, but I feel as if I'm /expected/ to be embarassed or ashamed...

I've even gotten called out buying a single Lyra figure while escorting my young brothers and sisters around the store. Being called a faggot while also watching your brethren isn't a fantastic feeling. But I deal with it, and endure.

i dont buy the toys since they look nothing like the actual characters. aside from their colors of course. I did however buy the figures and i wasnt embarrassed  i striked up conversations with the cashier. People were staring at me but people usually do since i dress differently and in a unique way.

If I'm honest, I haven't been overly interested in the toys, I prefer to draw them :P But if I did I couldn't go to a shop and get embarresed because I'm from Britain and they don't sell them here. I much prefer pony merchandise (t-shirts, jewellery etc), which I search on eBay, but my mum would tell me it would be a waste of money anyway. :( I am determined to get Rainbow Dash t-shirt one day though :'D

Actually, they do sell them here. Tesco, Forbidden Planet, Hamleys, and Toys R Us all sell them.  :)

And to answer the topic, no, I don't. Not in the slightest.

But no, I realize that that's not everone's cup of tea... It's not even /my/ cup of tea, really, since I've since begun molding the hair out of clay. But yeah, molded characters larger than three centimetres that resemble the characters would be nice.

Today I bought the new MLP comic book at a Hastings.

I always feel odd when buying things, especially because before I go to the cash register I already have the exact amount of money I need on my pocket. Also, lack of eye contact makes it a bit more odd :V

First toy i bought (Twilight's Balloon) did make me feel rather silly at first.  But after a while i quickly got use to it and didn't care if anyone looked at me funny.  No one ever did, but you never know.  So now i have almost the full Mane 6, just need another Twilight and Applejack...i think.  Can't remember.
