Hello all,

 

Are you looking for a specific character type to join your RP? Do you really need a fighter, or a baker, or just somepony with spunk to liven up your cast? Well, look no further than the OC recruitment office!

 

 

This is a thread for RPers and DMs alike to use to advertise or search for characters. Simply post a brief profle for your character, using simple terms and key points. For example...

 

 

Amber Dust, ♀female unicorn, young adult.

Personality: Honest, curious, somewhat shy, kind, clever/funny, thinker, adventurous, smart, serious, realistic, daydreamer.

Role: Will take on the role of leader, only if she needs to. Tries not to argue with others, and tries to keep everyone on the right track. Something of a moral compass at times, and often the one with the plan.

Occupation: Archaologist/explorer/historian 

Notable likes/hobbies: drawing, art, reading, fantasy

Works best in: Slice of life(SOL), Adventure, Fantasy RPs.

 

 

As you can see, I included a link to her full profile, as well as the most basic and prevalent bits of her personality, (so DMs can easily "ctrl-f" bits they're looking for, like "shy" or "adventurous",) how she interacts with others, her occupation(s) and hobbies, and--here's an important one--the type of RP she works best in. In that section, you could write a number of genres, like romance, Adventure, SOL, Fantasy, fighting, horror, etc. This will really help DMs, too. If you feel like it, you can also include dislikes, insecurities, etc...remember, every DM is looking for something different! Just make sure to keep it simple and brief. :)

 

 

So, if you're looking for an RP to join, but can't find any at the moment, drop a little profile here and watch the DMs come to you! Or, if you're a DM, come on over and search for the character traits you're looking for to create the perfect team! The search box and "ctrl-f" tool will be of much help, if this thread becomes too big to browse. :)

Nice! Okay, So here is mine...

 

Name: Audacia Ventus

 

Age: Young adult

 

Race and gender: Female eart pony

 

Personality: Daring, Adventurous, Assertive, Clever, Protective, Comic, Morale raiser

 

Occupation: Pirate/ Explorer

 

Role: Leader, She is a pirate captain. But she can be a flexible character and can work in multiple roles.

 

Hobbies: Exploring, Tresure hunting, Other pirate stuff :D

 

Works best in: Action, Adventure, Possibly Slice of Life if it's set in a Harbor like setting.

Marion Ette (Alias: Puppet Master): Hermaphrodite (Identifies as Male) Half-Changeling/Half-Umbrum (from the MLP Fiendship is Magic Story Arc), Unknown Age, likely an adult.


Personality: Cold, cunning, intelligent, and introvertive. However, he'll seem polite, perhaps even charming, when around new people, or people he thinks will react poorly to his true self. In regards to morality, he's a nihlist.


Role: A traitorous villain in diguise.


Occupation: Vagrant, enjoying life as it is, ready to do what he needs to earn something he wants, if he isn't able to just take it.


Notable likes/hobbies: Puppets. Social manipulation. Watching ponies struggle with an obstacle, because HE placed it there. Learning. Reading. Magic. Scheming.


Works best in: Horror, Adventure, Slice of Life, Mystery, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Film Noir.

Personality: Shy, she has been hurt and there is a barrier there but once you earn her trust she is fun, outspoken, and would do anything for you. trusting, sometimes too much so, she thinks the best of ponies and a lot of the time they disappoint her and she gets hurt, loyal, kind. 


Role: She is shy, but will bond quickly, she will take a leadership role if absolutely necessary. She prefers to give insight and be like the right hand pony but open to all roles. 


Occupation: Astronomer, Constellation Mythologist


Notable likes/hobbies: stargazing, charting, drawing


Works best in: Slice of life(SOL), Adventure, Fantasy RPs.


 


I'm newish to the RP world, but I am involved in one ongoing RP right now so I am getting used to the way things go. :)

Role: Usually a leader, like in her band. She can take almost every role in RPs.

 

Occupation: Rock Star, usually on tour.

 

Hobbies: explores Heavy rocks and metals, with trying to find the true meaning of "Heavy Metal Rock". She also hangs out in places like the Tenochtitlan Basin and Foggy Bottom Bog when to see the wildlife.

 

Likes: Traveling to a different place, hanging out by herself

 

Dislikes: Anything she wants, but mostly destruction of any beautiful town.

 

Rps best in: SoL, Action/Adventure

Personality: Somewhat temperamental, kind, energetic, bombastic, protective, charismatic, sometimes flirty. Will sacrifice her own needs for the good of her friends. Temperamental at times, generally passionate, optimistic, sentimental.


Role: Neither a follower nor a leader. She will stand up for others, and will voice her opinion honestly if she thinks the group is headed in the wrong direction, even at the risk of causing a conflict. She can get violent if pushed. Tends to rebel if need be. She'll often need someone with a cooler head to keep her in line.


Occupation: Weatherpony, mobile unit, storm specialist.


Notable likes/hobbies: flying, daydreaming, eating, nostalgia, stories.


Works best in: I've never RPed her, but here's my assumption: SOL (Slice of life), Adventure, Action, Romance (?)

Personality: Quiet, non-confrontational, generous, kind, hardworking, somewhat shy, soft-hearted, friendly, modest, a bit of a hopeless romantic, cautious, sentimental.


Role: She doesn't like to be the centre of attention, so usually will be a follower. Non-confrontational, she tries to quell fights when she can, but isn't very good at it. She can be a leader in business-related situations.


Occupation: Pastry chef, business owner.


Notable likes/hobbies: Baking, music, singing, working, stories.


Works best in: SOL (slice of life), mild adventure. Romance?
