Woo! I finally own a Wii U! ^.^ I got the Super Mario Maker bundle and this game is absolutely wonderful. :D I don't have anything unlocked at this point but I am already loving it so much. :3 It is a dream 2D Mario game. The potential of this game is boggling my brain.

Anyone else have it? If so, we can discuss the game and even share levels! Share some of your own level codes or codes of levels that you really enjoy! This can be a 'masterthread' of sorts, indeedly. I do not have any decent levels made just yet though. :P

Kinda surprised I could not find a thread for this, but hey, here it be now!

I was waiting for somepony to create a thread like this. Super Mario Maker I gotta say is a really fun game for all players. At long last, all of us can now create our very own stages.

So far, I've uploaded 10 challenging courses. My latest one is the ghost house course.

I wonder if it's alright if I can upload my courses in World groups like World 1, World 2 and World 3? I've said that because it'll be fun doing it that way.

Here's some of my uploaded courses if you want to give them a whirl:

World 1-1: Aim Highway (Course ID: A9FF-0000-0016-E76C)

World 1-2: Unfriendly Passageway (Course ID: A23B-0000-0022-1776)

World 1-3: Waltz Waters (Course ID: (9A9F-0000-002B-B7CC)

World 1-4: Infernal Inferno (Course ID: 0D3E-0000-0035-8A5A)

World 2-1: Blocky, Spiky Trail (Course ID: 885F-0000-003B-A55C)

World 2-2: The Pipeline Bridge (Course ID: B6A5-0000-003D-4E35)

World 2-3: Airship Assault (Course ID: F961-0000-0041-7735)

World 2-4: Castle of Pressure Course ID: AB41-0000-0041-C8CB)

Heh heh...Yeah, I was a really busy pony when I first started Super Mario Maker. I hope you like them.

Have thought back and forth on getting this game... But I just don't know. I don't think I'd ever really use it for its intended purpose, as I just can't ever go through with projects like that.

It'd be an easy purchase for me with a nice price cut, but at $60... Eh.

I think with this game it is really easy to make levels way too hard to beat. And personally, I think spamming enemies is a drawback to a level's fun factor. There's a difference between fun difficulty and troll difficulty.

That is true. I would say levels are best off with a certain amount of enemies just like in Super Mario Bros. games.

Some of the most difficult levels I've played in SMB had no enemies at all but I died 100 times trying to time a series of jumps just right.

I know that feel. It all comes down to skill to get through those levels. In fact, we need to be super players if we want to get through The Lost Levels.

And add to it a game pad versus a classic controller, and it just feels off a little bit. When I play Mario, I need those simple controls on a tiny controller. I have to admit haven't even played some of the more recent Marios, so II am at a disadvantage when those newer mechanics are needed.

It can be pretty tricky to play when using a different controller sometimes like when I was using a Wii Remote to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I'm more a player than a maker. However, I've unlocked all the sample courses from playing 10 Mario challenge over and over. Many of them creative and all of them totally editable!

It's fun going through sample courses in our spare time because we can get to learn certain things from them.

I have 9 levels so far (i can upload only 10 right now because I only have 1 medal...), the most played one so far is:

Infiltrate Bowser's Ship!

ID: 3316 0000 0016 D549

My personal favorite is:

Bigger On The Inside

ID: 80AF 0000 003D FDD5

Are you guys buying games on disc or downloading them (not only Mario Maker but Wii U games in general)?

I got Mario Maker on disc, as with most of all my other games. Although, this question should be more suited to a seperate thread.

Ooh, I'll remember to give those levels a go tomorrow. I also got Super Mario Maker on the disc along with the 8-bit Mario Amiibo.

ME WANT D:

It's cool that you got the amiibo though. Did you pre-order yours? (the game specifically) I pre-ordered mine and got it right when gamestop opened up so I could play.

So far I have only 2 games for the Wii U and both are downloaded. Mario Maker came with the system but as a download code, so  I had to download it.

My brother got the 8 bit Mario amiibo. Is it hard to find?

And because of that bundle I was able to get this. I am not sure if it is 'hard' to find at this point but I would assume so since it comes in that bundle.

I am looking forward to playing the game more, I really want to unlock all the stuff. :D I will definitely be checking out these levels sometime, thank you for sharing them everyone. ^.^

Well, I pre-ordered the Super Mario Maker limited edition which contained the 8-bit Mario Amiibo.

So I have been dabbling with Mario Maker a bit  and while I still think I am not good at making levels, I did make a Mario Bros. level yesterday that I thought was kinda neat, so if anyone wants to give it a try, I will post the code. It is a short level that still manages to be challenging though I know it is not a very good level either way.

Here is the code:

619F-0000-0069-6952

The name of the level might seem familiar. :3

You've made a great and enjoyable level. I say you've got great potential when it comes to making levels.

Thank you so much. ^___^ I actually just made a new level today, but at the moment I do not have the code, I will post that later. It is a level based around using bob-ombs. :3 That was pretty fun to make. I will be having the Super Mario World content as of tomorrow and I cannot wait for that, that is the one I want the most. :D
