Who would you vote for this presidential election?

Whoever ends up getting the Democratic nomination will get my vote. Even if it's Biden, who I really don't much care for. Even the worst Democrat is better than the piece of trash that is currently in office. At the end of the day, the Supreme Court is so important for the long-term future, and Trump/the Republicans are willing to play very dirty to get the worst people possible into the SC. There is no excuse whatsoever to let them take anymore.

Hopefully things will go good and we'll get a better Democrat on the ballot, but... This is America. I no longer have any faith in the country whatsoever after the 2016 election. I have no faith that whoever gets up there as the Democratic candidate will win, either, because the left is so stupidly divided. They'll continue fighting for a pure candidate while letting the country burn to the ground.

The sad thing is... Unless somehow we've moved to New England in a year, my vote won't even count toward crap, because my state is solid Republican (even for the immoral monstrosity that is Trump) and popular vote in general means nothing, so... Yay. It's great to feel like I have no power at all.

I like Tulsi the most at this point, though I'd also vote for Bernie or Yang. They seem to be the only three of this huge race that seem to have any concern for their constituency. Normal. :unamused: For democrats, the rest are all corporate and Warren is also a traitor to her constituency. For republicans, it's not even worth my time to really even look at this point. I've only ever heard of one republican I really invested much any interest in, but that's because he was more like the republicans of 60 years ago that were actually not fringe right lunatics.

Whoever doesn't make me lose braincells probably. That's a hard thing not do with politics nowadays.

No idea. I identify as a libertarian so naturally I like Bill Weld, but he has no chance of beating Trump for the Republican Party nomination. I think he's very sane but on social issues he's too liberal for most Republicans.

As for the Democrats... Tulsi Gabbard is alright. I think she's the best in the field when it comes to foreign policy, and she's not as far to the left as folks like Bernie Sanders, whose ideas are now becoming mainstream among Democrats in the age of Trump.

I like the independent Howard Schultz, but I'm now wary of electing billionaires and it seems like he may not run for president after all.

As for the Libertarian Party? What a crappy roster. Even I, a third party supporter, think all of these guys are either lunatics or just out of touch with the current state of the world. Justin Amash has expressed interest in switching over from the Republican Party, and I'm absolutely a fan of his. But the Libertarian Party is filled with so much toxic infighting that I doubt he could win the nomination.

Voted for Trump in 2016, and will definitely vote for him again in 2020.

Especially after witnessing the lost cause that is the Democratic establishment.

I'm pretty excited about the range of Democratic choices; though my fav this earlier is Warren. That said, I'm a left-leaning centrist so I'll vote for any Dem.

And no; that's not a cop-out.

Whoever the Democratic candidate is. I haven’t paid too much attention to politics lately and honestly I don’t really want to right now...

I’d like to see some more third party support but I doubt any candidates wouldΒ convinceΒ me to do so.

I don't care about politics, but I'm probably voting for Trump next year. I like most of what he's done for our country and I don't see any other alternatives right now. I do admit that IΒ like Andrew Yang.Β However, I've accepted the unfortunate fact that he's not going to win because of the way the DNC works. I've also grown to accept the fact that I can't be completely bipartisan my whole life and that there's no way to please people who would hate me for something as stupid as a political decision.Β :maud:

Ideally Sanders or Warren. I have no love for BidenΒ orΒ Booty JudgeΒ Buttigieg who continue to cling onto 90s Third Way centrism, and Harris is too sketchy for my tastes.Β

Bill Weld or John Kasich (who hasn't completely declared candidacy yet)? Bill Weld is actually not a nutjob and supports LGBT rights and abortion, and he has done decently well when he was formerly MA's governor. He's also much friendlier on undocumented immigrants than Trump is. John Kasich is also somewhat alright with a good track record as Ohio's governor and is a bit closer to what Republicans originally were when they were sane conservatives and not Tea Party/alt-right crazies.Β

Kasich to me just sounds more like Tea Party lite, but from what I've seen of Weld's positions, he's really not all too bad. Though I don't agree with several of his positions, he seems respectable enough and for me a decent compromise with the far right, corporate, almost neo-Nazi BS that's been infesting the Republican party since the 80's (it really isn't a new phenomenon). Like a few things I don't agree with him on include: the death penalty, affirmative action, trade, and welfare.Β  Though for affirmative action, I'm probably one of the few people supporting the likes of Bernie that opposes it, because I see how it hurts everyone including the people it even hires, and the other three are to be expected I guess.

I would vote for Trump. The democrats are nothing but whiners and cry babies to me, Trump actually gets stuff done and has the balls to speak his mind whether people like it or not. If I was able to vote I would totally vote for him again, another 2nd term for the big guy! I would never throw my vote away for a 3rd party and I'm likely to register as a republican.

Most likely Trump, i right leaning, and in reality Trump is his own, he just had to run under one or the other. But i just dont like the way the Democratic party is going, very socialist, and take my money that i work hard for in "taxes" and give it to people that dont work, to illegals for full coverage healthcare, but i have to pay for mine. This free healthcare and free college...who is going to pay for it, if you think government your wrong, its us in taxes. And a government runned healthcare, scares me, look at the VA, they just basically drag their heels hoping veterans die, you really want that for everyone else! But the current lineup of Dems are either a HELL NO or I just never heard of them.

This is so self-centered that it hurts. What would you rather have? Everyone pay a tiny bit more in taxes each year or have people be over $10,000+ in medical debt?

If by "gets stuff done" you mean making us into a laughing stock of the world and giving tax cuts to the rich and by "speaks his mind" you mean he makes brain dead Tweets every day of the week, then yeah, he's a winner for sure.Β
