Halloween Costume

It's almost October and I was wondering if you guys still dress up for Halloween, and if so, what are you planning to be this year? I like wearing costumes and I plan on being Dr Horrible from Dr Horribles Sing Along Blog this year.

I want to dress up as either Anna, Elsa or a MLP character, but I'm having no luck finding the costumes.

Spirit online and Amazon bother carry a really NICE Anna costume. It's the "prestige" version. A bit pricey but more than worth it. I ordered one, but had to send it back because it was SOOOOO small. Yeah, it runs REALLY small. But, the quality was nice. Can't speak for Elsa dresses. I had to custom order mine.

 

As for MLP costumes, you may have to do closet cosplay for them. They only make those costumes for little kids. It is VERY difficult to find ones for adult that aren't custom made and aren't Twilight, Dashie or Pinkie. (Unless one of them is your favourite, of course. Mine happens to be Rarity, who marketers hate.)

I really want to dress up for Halloween, but I don't know if I can. I'm "too old" to trick-or-treat, but I live in a neighborhood w/o a sidewalk, and I don't know about any parties. I think my school lets people dress up on Halloween, or whatever day in October is closest to it. I don't know what I want to dress up as. I have some interest in dressing up as a pony, but I don't know how students feel about bronies. I'm also interested in dressing up as a FNaF animatronic, but I don't know how hard it would be to make a costume of a FNaF character.

I'm sort of split between ambition and practicality. I have two ideas for a costume. The one I really want to try, like for a party, is to dress up like the Joker and start quoting him from both the animated version and the Dark Knight as people have told me I can do an almost perfect impression of him. (Hell I even made up my own, "want to know how I got these scars?" story!)

 

Lacking the makeup expertise and not likely going to a party where people will know it's me though, I think I'll fall back on an old costume idea I had but never really got to make use of. A Kung Fu zombie! The idea is that this version of zombie is dead, but retains the muscle memory he developed in life. So unlike most zombies who only attack with primal instinct, this character actually has some finesse and skill. Of course, I still want to make him identifiably a zombie instead of just a ghoul, so I patterned the zombie's fighting style off of Drunken Fist technique. The similar swaying, seemingly ungainly movements of being intoxicated lend themselves well to zombie behavior with just adding a little frantic jitter.

I miss that series!!!  Do you know if that's online anymore to watch?  GREAT IDEA for a costume!!!

 

I've been debating updating my very simple Dr Whooves cosplay and making that my costume this year!  Otherwise I may just buy a TARDIS dress.  ;)

I dress up to pass out candy! Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I never pass up a chance to celebrate it in any way! This year I'm doing something terrifying: President Trump.

I think you can find it on Youtube still. A Dr Who costume is always a good idea. I was 11 last year, and I had random people stopping to take pictures with me.
