Do you play an instrument?

I've played some guitar, but don't have one (although my sister has a new one that I can borrow, if I really want, I suppose).

My main instrument is the violin though, but I've yet to touch it since before I really started college.

I've been playing the clarinet since high school and I can play the harmonica fairly decently now. I'd love to try getting back into playing with an ensemble again with my clarinet. Possibly after I graduate and secure a job, like many of my other extracurricular plans.

I've been working on the piano off and on too. I can read the music and have the basic playing techniques down, it's just... well, sight reading two staves at once is kind of hard.

I used to be able to kinda sorta play piano, but then we moved and we had to sell the piano. Since then, I've picked up guitar, bass, and drums, all of which I'm super mediocre at.

I can play the piano, the guitar, the accordion

Sounds cliché to say that I can play the accordion since I'm french, but I'm down with stereotypes

Baguette croissant beret.

Bye

Yeah, I start playing the cello as part of the string family since five years ago in 2010 (a year that started on Friday), and I loved the orchestra so much to perform that is advanced and also symphony!  :)

Yes! I play guitar as part of my high school band! :yay:

Yet, only 14 people are actually in my class. We do play some good music though. Such as "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, or "Safe and Sound" by Capital Cities. :pinkie:

I consider myself a keyboardist. However, I specialise in hardware synthesisers rather than arranger keyboard (which I could play) or piano (which I can't really play).

It comes with one downside: Especially once you've discovered the joys of MIDI and sequencing, you end up piling up expensive masses of equipment in a severe case of chronic GAS. Unlike guitar players, synth players can actually use lots and lots of equipment at the same time and thereby justify their piles of gear.

I used to play the trumpet years ago while in band. It was fun, but had to switch schools and I ended up dropping it.

If I could go back and do it again, I'd probably pick the saxophone though.

When I was really young, I tried playing the recorder but discovered that I was completely inept at it. As such, I resigned myself to the fact that I couldn't play it nor any other instrument for that matter.

do my lungs count? since Im a vocalist. I only ever dabbled with 2 instruments. Piano/Keyboard and drums. Totally forgotten how to read music though ^^; I can work out basic piano from ear though.

Still kinda mess with percussion today as Tennyson's Twin unoffical percussionist at the same time as being the backing singer.

Well a couple years back I was taking guitar lessons, but it wasn't long before I realized the guitar just wasn't my instrument. I ended up getting bored with it and quit. I still have my acoustic, the very same one I used in those lessons, but now it just sits in a corner in my bedroom collecting dust. :P It was just recently I discovered my natural talent with the drums, which isn't much of a surprise because my dad also has a natural ability with the drums, I must've inherited that from him. :D I'm also pretty good with the piano/keyboard, which is weird because playing piano is similar to playing guitar. :wat:

I used to play the violin in 7th grade but then the school decided to take away my orchestra privileges and change my schedule since I was failing my advaced classes.

I currently play Both Acoustic Guitar and Electric Guitar and plan to keep doing so.

Does this count?

If so, then yes, I use my MIDI controller & DAW to make music.  Other than that, I don't really play any "real" instruments due to being a klutz who might as well be named "Fumble-Fingers McGee" when it comes to trying to hit the right guitar frets or keyholes & such like that...  Thankfully, due to being able to use VST Instruments with my DAW, I can virtually play just about anything under the sun using my program & MIDI controller. ;)
