As the title says I'm finally learning how to draw ponies. I'll be editing this thread with new art every now and then. Tips and critiques encouraged!

Cool! In my experience, the more you practice, the more "right" your drawings will seem.

If you want some suggestions, I'd suggest making the horn point up at a right angle to the head. It's not at that angle in your picture, which is why it looks a little funny. Still, your drawings look great! You have a lot of potential!

The legs are great, especially the joints. People love to just use noodle arms instead of putting that real bend in there.

As for the heads, yeah. Probably the only thing that needs some work to be on standard. Perhaps you should think of a more "cuter" look? Bigger and rounder heads (Not perfect circles or too large, but definitely a rounder look than your current design. Keep up the good work!

Thanks man. Horns are surprisingly hard to get right. Who'd think that a cone glued to a head would be hard to draw?

Wow. I didn't expect to be good at legs considering they were the first things I drew that were vaguely pony related. Also I do agree with you on the heads.

CONCLUSION:

   Right Angle Horns

   Larger Heads

Work on hind legs a bit more. Especially at angles.
