Don't wanna break it to you...but besides the added reverb and hall effects...the arragement itself is kinda bland. This song was sort of made in a baroque/classical style, that involves a lot of activity from both the right and left hand. Also, a note for baroque music is that there are little trills or ornaments in certain passages.

The baroque style uses 16th note passages, that is, if you want to make it sound like a Prelude/Fugue written by J.S Bach.

And again, repeating stacked chords are a no-no sadly. They drown out the rest of the piano and do not really go with the original style of the song. As I stated before, this song was modeled off the baroque/classical styles of music, which calls for broken chords. non-parallel octaves (meaning there should not be standalone parallel octaves between the right and left hands), and technical passages.

If you want an example of what I am talking about, have a listen to this harpsichord remix I did of Babs Seed:

Notice the technicality of the piece. It may sound almost impossible to play, but it is very possible.

Perhaps I can help you revamp this arrangement. How about it?

Hmmm. What you says is very true. I did have a HUGE problem with the chords drowning out the melody. But I never imagined it as a prelude and fugue! I've played Bach's prelude and fugue in c minor before but I don't seem to see Rules of Rarity as a song with multiple voices (in the fugue, that is). Maybe it's the slow part of the song that throws me off.

If you have the time and want to revamp my arrangement (If it will take up too much of your time, then you don't have to do it), that would be great!  I have the pdf file and the musescore file that I could send to you somehow. Or you could download the sheet music. I'm always looking to improve the quality of my channel and you obviously have way more experience than me in music theory and composition. I have a bad tendency to over simplify things just because I get frustrated listening to chord progressions or even the melody. Maybe I should get relative pitch training.

Your offer is very nice! But is it possible to tell me what exactly you did if you choose to revamp it so I can learn for future songs? Thanks a ton!

Okay, so what I would is keep some of the melody, and interject some 16th note passage. I may probably scrap the left hand and create a part that leans towards more of the baroque/classical era.

Unfortunately, my music software is currently out of date, so it may take me a bit to get it done for ya.

And hey, I can certainly train you a bit in theory/composition, if you want me to.

Ok! I look forward to your revamping. As for training, schoolwork definitely cuts into time a lot. I really want to learn more, but it may be a bit difficult. Are there any suggestions you have for independent training? I may consult your composition guide that you posted a few weeks ago. :)

Look online. That's the best I can say. I really don't know any good sites that offer a solid beginner's guide to classical arrangement and composition. And that composition guide is mainly for creating progressions for compositions only, not for arrangements. However, in the future, I do plan to make a guide on making a successful piano arrangement, so keep a watch out for that.

EDIT 1: Forgot to mention this but, you stated that you didn't see the song as a Bach Prelude or Fugue. From my experience, there can be four-part fugues. However, because this piece is kind of simple, only a basic 2-parter would do. We cannot get but so complex otherwise the piece would become unnoticeable and have too much activity for the player to handle.
