Dark would be struck by her answer, hoping this would go down hill now the sudden 360 awkward turn coming about, but with his mind more clear his improvising skills would come out useful... a shame they don't usually work in social situations.

@,

All the arguments she ever had with anypony about enjoying parties instead of isolating herself began to run through her head.  She found herself unwilling to make Dark Star the... 976th pony or so.  Certainly not that large, but still.

"I'm not.  ...Let's go."  She flashed him a smile before going ahead to the bar, Crescent disappearing into a card that she slipped into the book.

Tap noticed the conversation striking between the two ponies at the bar, and was intrigued. Although a little startled when the earth pony slipped in, he didn't mind. It'd make this night a little more interesting, after all. He thanked the barman for the drink, and decided to say hello to the pony.

"Oh, hey, didn't notice you slip in while I was getting my drink. I'm Tapfire, but you can call me Tap."

"Well, that could have gone better, but it could have gone worse. I could have messed up badly..." Tap thought to himself as he awaited a reply.

@@Akari of Duskshire,

Star would look in amusement at the serpent sliding back into the page like it was nothing.

I should really ask how she does that, but meh, I'll do it later.

Smiling back, glad he got at least so far, starting to walk towards the bar.

"Great, well... I guess the right thing to ask now would be how was your time since... y'know... anything interesting happening or happened? "

Princess Celestia

One thing that would catch her interest, having the princess pause in what she was doing, was that of a serpent floating near a mare and a pony she recognized as one of her guards. Smiling Celestia would walk towards the two, considering what she was seeing. It seemed to be magically created, and perhaps even given something of a will of it’s own which was fairly impressive.

Noticing they were walking towards the bar, where she was already considering as a destination for later, the princess decided to follow. Much to her disappointment it would seem the lovely serpent would be recalled and disappeared from view though that wouldn’t stop her from asking about it once she met up with them.

Smiling as he came into step behind the two, Celestia would say softly to the Fantasy, “That was most impressive, the serpent you had created. I wish I had noticed sooner and had a chance to meet it for myself.” She would offer a warm nod to Star, before turning her attention back to the mare.

Mythos Gray
Mythos noticed the mare's smile drop as he mentioned his lost friend, leading him to feel all the more he had done right in moving the conversation forward. Perhaps there could be a time that he could tell Amber, but the unicorn felt that such conversation would only bring down what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening.

Yet feeling that she may want something from what he had mentioned, Mythos would say softly, “Perhaps I can tell you about the friend I had lost. Yet not tonight, this is our evening and such conversation would only dampen the mood... I hope you understand.

Onto her her inquiries of the performance, he would say, “It involves the story of The Mare on the Moon, though with focus on how it effected the sisters. What lead to Princess Luna becoming Nightmare Moon and what it was like for Princess Celestia those 1000 years without her sister.

Mythos would also realize that he hadn't spoken as much on the performance and would say, “I and to others will be performing, one who will provide the music while myself and another will be storytellers.” The unicorn hoped they would not learn he had forgotten to mention them until now, but perhaps this would make up for such an error.

Star would freeze cold for a second hearing the voice of the one and only Princess Celestia behind him, immidietly turning at full attention. "Princess, w-what a surprise and honor. "I'm so glad you asked," Ruby said before taking another sip of her drink. "You may have heard a lot about Manehattan but Bucklyn's just as busy. We get overshadowed a lot since we're an outer borough and all but life there is more exciting than you may think. We've got great restaurants, nightlife and a little place called Poney Island where ponies of all ages go to feel like a foal again. I was born and raised in Trotbush and I now live in Hay Ridge. Amber nodded sombrely at the mention of Mythos's lost friend.

"Of course, I understand" she said, more quietly than usual. She offered the stallion a sympathetic smile as they walked up to the palace gates together. It was extraordinary! Mythos seemed unphased by it all, but Amber had to struggle just to look where she was going and avoid tripping over her own hooves. There was so much to see! Architecture, art, beautiful history, all around her--She couldn't help smiling. The whole place just oozed magic.

"I can't imagine losing my sister like that," the mare said, back on the topic of Mythos's preformance, as she stared in awe at the palace's facade.

"I imagine it must have been really hard for both of the Princesses during those thousand years..." Amber trailed off, looking back down at her hooves. She had never really given the absolute enormity of that number much thought before now. A thousand years of guilt, loneliness, and sadness, she thought. Hm.

"I'm sure you'll handle it expertly, though," she added, after a moment. She smiled confidently at her date. "I can't wait to see it!"

"My Parents, actually. Wanted me to try it out for one year at least. It's actually been pretty fun so far. I mean, I already met Flame and you, and that's two more ponies than I'd meet on any normal day. Ponyville has a lot of ponies who know each other, especially when it comes to Princess Twilight, but I tend to just withdraw myself from them. Keep to my friends and that's it. I'm... not great with other ponies most of the time."

"What, and by most of the time you mean when you're visibly half-changeling? Kind of a little awkward one to bring up, with the holes in your mane and hooves and such. Heck, you hid them for the galla just because you know no other changelings will be here. But we'll see, maybe you won't have to change your looks into a male version of one of the Princesses to get a few laughs tonight." my brain toyed with me. Great, now my brain has decided it wants to sass me. Well, I ain't having none of it.

"Shut up brain."

"So anyway," I continued the conversation, "You have anything on this grand a scale in Manehatten? Never visited there myself, but I've heard from my tailor in ponyville it's amazing. She loves that town so much... might visit there one day."

(OOC: Changeling abilities won't come around until I want them to. I'll try to write them in, but for now Imma leave it. Anyone here know a mind-reading spell or true-sight spell? After examining the castle's finest roses, and taking in the night air, the small white alicorn with her odd lion like tail, stared into Luna's beautifully painted sky. The princess of the night really out did herself for the galla...it almost made her jealous to think she was nothing more than Princess of Peace...

Of what peace is there for me inside? She thought to herself as she began to walk out of the gardens and strolling along the fence line of the castle yard. She was lonely...admittingly so...but she wasn't in the mood for mingling with ponies she didn't know, or ponies that wanted to know her simply because she was... "An alicorn...pfftah..." She fluttered up to the seconard area of the courtyards, landing on a balacony that was near one of the ballrooms, but still isolated enough that she had the lovely place to herself. Levitating a small pillow seat over, she took advantage of the better sight, Canterlot City.

Down below the city was aglow. For those ponies who weren't lucky enough to attend the fancy event seemed to be having celebrations of their own. There were stallions escorting their mares to the lovely restraunts or coffee shops that kept their business up late for this very evening. Truth be told she wouldn't be surprised if guests from the event were also paying their visits to the grand city. The soft light of the lamps gave the citizens below elagance in their silohettes as they strolled the streats, buying their treats and dining. It felt so easy to just fly down there and explore the city on her own, surely no pony would notice she had gone? Surely?

"Yeah... yeah, shut up" I thought to myself. "So, I could fly here, but Manehatten is a long flight, and not one I could make. I'd have to catch a train..."

As I thought, I also continued the enjoyable conversation I was having. Tonight was turning out to be quite enjoyable, and many of the guests hadn't even arrived yet, including 3 of the 5 princesses... I wonder if I'll meet anyone else...

"Huh. I'll make sure to plan what I do beforehand. Thanks for the advice. Ponyville is small, and when I visit my friends in Cloudsdale, you can fly wherever you need to go, the sky is quite literally the limit. I guess Manehatten is completely different to anywhere else, being the nearest large city to here in Canterlot and all."

It was times like this the princess didn't know whether or not she should be amused or exasperated, ye for the sake of her subject she decided to stick with the former. That and Celestia knew the mare's nervousness and embarrassment made sense, despite how she may wish for them to not freak out on seeing her.

Smiling warmly, she would look to her guard and say, “Thanks you Dark Star, good to see you again” Turning back to the mare she would continue, “Though I don't believe I know your friend here.”

Hoping to offer a presence of welcome and calm, she would ask, “What might your name be? I heard you mention rehearsal, are you perhaps one of my subjects who has offered to perform for my sister and I?

Hearing Star's chuckle as well, the princess would consider the guard, and offer a look that seemed to suggest, Help her out, don't make it worse. It was one thing to take amusement from the situation, but it appeared that the chuckle just helped to make Fantasy even more embressed.

Please, no need to worry yourself, all is well,” She would offer, now trying to reassure with words. There was something that seemed... telling. Considering the two ponies before her she got the feeling that this may not be just a pair of friends, yet for not she would keep such thoughts to herself.

By having one focus on providing the music, one the setting, and myself the characters... it is my hope that this will be a performance fondly remembered by all who see and hear it.

The unicorn had spoken much, perhaps more then he should or normally would. Keeping a sort of mysterious allure and hidden charm was preferred, as it seemed to attract mares the most. Yet Mythos wanted to leave an impression, to perhaps explain why he was doing all this and be understood.

To reveal the hearts of the royal sisters, so show ponies why they are worthy of respect and admiration even though they are not perfect and have made mistakes,” He would look to Amber, smiling as he reveals, “It is why, per my suggestion, this performance is titled 'The Hearts of Two Sisters'.

Shaking his head clear of the though, very lightly blushing himself from the realization of it. Deciding to finally help her out I came up closer to her, giving Celestia a quick look saying "What in tartarus do I even say?" . Deciding not to wait for an answer he improvised best he could.

"Breathe, Fantasy, breathe, don't worry it is just the one main ruler Princess of Equestria talking to you, it doesn't get worse than this. "

Deciding he had a bit too much fun here regarding the situation as a fitting teasing joke. Talking in a quieter tone and pushing her a bit away from the conversation Star added.

"But honestly, breathe deeply and calm down. I know how it is at first, but you get used to it, just at least try and give answers to what she says. If you are feeling too uncomfortable I can arrange we go our ways and I'm sure the Princess won't mind. Or if it makes it in any way easier, I'm here as backup, so don't worry. "

Stepping back and facing the princess again he simply let the conversation continue its way.

"That sounds amazing," said Amber brightly, as the pair stepped into the castle. Mythos's performance was definitely going to be one of the highlights of the evening--there were few things Amber loved more than a good story and a history lesson rolled into one. And about the Princesses, no less! She thought back to her two friends in Ponyville, and felt a pang of guilt that they weren't there with her to enjoy what was bound to be a fantastic adventure.

"You'll still have time to enjoy the rest of the Gala, right?" Amber asked, somewhat hesitantly. She wasn't too eager to wander around through the crowds by herself. Sure, there were plenty of interesting ponies here, but she was afraid she wouldn't have any common ground with them and just end up embarrassing herself.
