How much did you hate middle school?

It wasnt a totally nightmare but it wasn't the most pleasant experience at the same time. 6th grade was a crapfest, trying to adjust from elementary to middle school was weird. People were a lot more different and the school was so much bigger. 7th grade was trash, I had really low self esteem and hated myself. I thought I was the ugliest girl on earth. Overall really bad year for me. 8th grade was slightly better, had a lot more fun that year. Still struggled with my self esteem and confidence.

Overall I give it a 3/10. Not very fun, really hated it. High school was much better. College is amazing, except for the stress levels. But I'm having fun.

7th grade wasn't so bad. I had mostly good teachers, plus I made tons of friends that I hadn't before.

But I didn't particularly care for 6th and 8th grade. 6th grade I was shy, had barely any IRL friends, had tons of problems with my teachers, not to mention a lot of crap was going on in life outside of school (especially during the second semester/early 2013). 8th grade was pretty mixed, since it wasn't very memorable for me and a lot of the students were like "LOL DEEZ NUTS TWANNY ONE" and stuff like that. My teachers were good, but otherwise.. meh. Didn't particularly care for middle school, of course I'm going to the same school for high school (it's one of those 7th-12th schools (had 6th in my 6th grade year but it was moved to another division), so I can't exactly escape it ;-;

Hmm, alot of people seemed to have hated middle school (for good reason >_> ) Personally though, it was one of the better times of my life, barely any homework, nothing to worry about, friends. It was a dream. I hated High School much more in comparison. :okiedokielokie:

Hated it, hated it, hated it.

I wasn't one of the "popular" people and I was talked negatively about by a lot of people.

Hated it. I regretted being born and eventually developed an eating disorder from all the bullying from people over my weight (hell even my "friends" did it). Plus, I got called names a lot (especially Bitch) and had been threatened by older kids on several occasions (and almost to the point where I was about to get my ass kicked before someone else stepped in, all over not closing a window). Surprisingly the popular kids were some of the nicest kids where I went to school, the nerds were the ones you had to look out for.

So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hated middle school. I had been going to school with the same kids from primary school onwards (small town) and when I was in primary school, they had already decided they didn't like me. Why? I was the angry, weird red-headed kid. I had temper issues and they knew it and they preyed on it. Plus, I was always the shortest kid in class.

Then, when I got to middle school, it only got worse. Looking back, I really don't know WTF I ever did to those people. I minded my own business, read my books, watched my anime and drew my pictures, and that was somehow a problem. Granted, maybe I was asking for it. I WAS a weeaboo for three years, and they're some of the most annoying people on the planet. I didn't wear clothes from the mall, had no interest in makeup or boys. I just wanted to do my own thing and get through school. But, apparently, that wasn't good enough.

Anyway, it got to the point where the entirety of the student body hated me for no reason and I didn't find a whole lot of solace. The friends I'd had in primary school were gone. They were either in a different middle school or rolled with different crows.Yet, I never became depressed. And unlike a lot of kids these days, suicide never crossed my mind. I guess I just went with it. And, it got to the point where I simply stopped talking. Why? Because every time I defended myself, I got laughed at and mocked even further. And once I stopped talking, they got worse and then, eventually...they stopped. They realised they couldn't bother me any more and when I got to high school, we went our separate ways and they changed to pretending I didn't exist. Which was fine with me.

Middle school in general is just an unpleasant experience. Everyone is in a weird stage where they are transitioning from being a child and really trying to find themselves while their bodies are going crazy because, puberty. All while trying to keep up in school because, OMG college.

But, in the end. I made it. And the one great thing that came from it all? My Best Friend. I still can't remember how the hell we met (and neither can she), all I know is it was in seventh grade and that we've been together ever since!

And to anyone currently struggling with similar issues in school, I promise. I DOES get better. It may seem like a BIG deal now, like the whole world is working against you, but it's not the end of the world. Just do you and push on through it. Because once you graduate, no one gives a crap anymore. Once I got out of school, it didn't matter what clothes I bought or the fandoms I was in. Because after school, people have better things to worry about. Like college, and money and kids. You know, important stuff.

I absolutely hated it, but it wasn't too bad afterwords,

Plus, when you graduate and go to High school or College, you can tell yourself, "it was worth it, and now its over".   -_-

Not a whole lot to be honest. Middle School was not too bad for me. Sure, I still had no social life to speak of or anything good to offer to anyone but I at least was still able to enjoy things for what they were regardless. I was in a special ed class for most of it which made it easier to deal with. High School was when everything started to unravel.

All my school years were pretty much Hell on earth, filled with incessant bullying and people making me feel worthless, I had to be lumped in with the special education kids because the whole experience was so traumatic for me that I didn't do well with my grades. I came home pretty much every day in tears begging to never go back, but my parents insisted because it was "for my future". This continued for a very long time, and on a couple occasions I tried to take my own life or lashed out because it was too much for me.

Now, an entire decade later, the mere mention of school can make me choleric, and I often become furious when I hear about other kids going through the same experience I did. It's something I'm never going to get over, so I guess you could say I hated middle school (and school in general) more than anything else in this entire universe.

Good to know you enjoy it. I like it myself. My fav classes are welding and for some odd reason I like Spanish.

Lol I LOVE Spanish!!! I have a 101% grade in that class and we actually just had a test last week! I think I was the only one in my class who got a perfect score on it...

I had a perfect score in Spanish longer than any class so far. We should talk about this on a pm.

I remember I was picked on a lot, but compared to my life post-high school, I can't complain about my life back then. I remember I 'hated' the year of 2003 (last half of eighth grade), but every thing I hated it for (aside from the death of a pet I loved) was not only petty, even for my age.

I'd love to have the life I had back then! But it would be awkward being back in middle school. xD (I was soooo immature back then, you have no idea)

I feel like I was really immature in middle school. The stuff I remember doing back then makes me face palm today. I did everything I could to try and be 'cool.' It didn't work as well for me sice I was socially akward, into a lot of different things than the guys at my school, and would get really angry. I do however remember being annoyed by people too. People I knew would known Ilike Pokemon and would talk about Pokemon porn just to try and set me off. That was the turnig point when I got the impression that everyone secretly hated me, leading to my inferiority complex.

I went to middle school in a bad neighborhood; literally in walking distance from a much better higher prestige school that only accepted smart students. Middle School was a super strange time for me, too....Just thinking about it makes me cringe; even now. I did have quite a few friends then, and I wasn't as shy as I am now. Surprisingly enough, most of my funniest stories come from me being in middle school...so it wasn't all that bad. I wouldn't change those memories for anything.

Let's add it up.

• No friends. (Barely.)

• Always been bullied.

• Always been picked on.

• Been made a fool in front of the whole class.

• Always got an ugly look.

• Always claim that I'm boring and "not interesting". (I kind of agree...)

• Rumors spread around school that I was a Homosexual.

...Yupp. I hated Middle School.

This. Exactly. ._. I like you already ;)
