Can they make me laugh without resorting to mean jokes? Are they willing to stay by my side no matter what? If they consistently exude positive energy rather than negative energy. (I won't befriend Extreme racists, homophobes, you get me.) 2 A Nice person. (Nice is a super compliment in my opinion) 3 Not an idiot. Being smart, as in always wanting to learn, or talk about the things that makes one happy. 3. Surprises. Always keeping the friendship new and exciting. 4. Talking about things that might be considered difficult, or at least trying. 5. Having fun, and if not, at least trying to not bring you down. A friendship doesn't have to be all that. A nice comment every now and then is enough. However, going above that makes it unique and worth while.
